LINE BOIL IN 3D! I didn't think this was doable in 3D, or it is and I've just not seen it, but after some testing, I was able to get a proof of concept. I think the way I've done it too is completely functional for 3D Vtubers using vsfavatar

omg I put the ref and my model side by side.. I'd say that's pretty close??? ive been refining all the balljoints ill be able to hollow and 3D print it all soon I'm so excited :3 gonna have 51 points of articulation. Most BJDs usually have around 16-20 #PorcelainMade

I figured it out :) please keep in mind that I rig on the free version of live2D and only use a webcam for tracking, so its a bit crunchy and I had to glue some pieces together to make it... not look like shit, but I'm really happy with it considering my limitations!

to make the sculpt, I specifically made her model smile because I knew this would be too emotionless for some. So i made her smile and used that when referencing her model for the sculpt. its not fully 1:1 but considering i was adjusting a model i made previously, it works. 2/

fear in a screenshot (each colour is a different piece) the ball joints are gonna each be fused to a finger segment for printing stability in the end but knowing that this one hand currently has more parts than most bjds have in TOTAL is hilarious to me

Don't be like this person. They came into my chat for the first time today when I was modelling my personal 3D Vtuber model that is basically 1:1 to my body type IRL. It made me so angry and uncomfortable in my own stream that it took me a while to calm down afterwards. 1/5

engineering a new joint system to make Zen's legs, the lack of a foot means we can't use the most common way of ending the stringing at the ankle with a hook. so new mechanism it is :D it looks kinda silly mid adjusting so enjoy this glorious mid progress shot 🤣

the urge to just buy a vrchat model with good tracking and movement so I can see how they rig it specifically for vrchat. my models are better suited to MMD, and i know that where i put my bones specifically, doesnt work with vr and specifically full body tracking
