When I was younger I used to call it being busy and mock it, I’d then turn up to pre season, legs dead & feeling sick and struggle with my fitness throughout the season. Work smartly through your off season, recover, but keep ticking over. Week 1 ✅

Not playing as much from sitting on the bench or being injured you get to analyse, watch what others do, good & bad, reflect on what you can do better & actually listen to those that know more than you on the game. Plus makes you hungrier to play well. Learnt a lot this year.
