There are no words.
Two former OCC Pirates were playing in our Alumni Game today when I had to tell them the tragic news.
Alto’s sister Sissy is the single most important person at Beckman High School.
We are all devastated. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families.
In May 2017, Sean McLain was laying on home plate with a broken ankle. I was in tears, and I told him that he was going to come back stronger, be an even better player, and play D1 College Baseball.
Today, Sean committed to Arizona State. I have never been as proud as I am now.
We are sorry to announce the passing of assistant coach Ray Sikes.
In a world that is sometimes black, white, gray, and dreary, Ray was an abundance of positivity, color, and personality. He will be forever missed.
Rest In Peace Ray.
Goodbye dear friend.
Old Betsy (2006-2020) passed away today. She was spare parts, duct tape, and zip ties, but she led us through some great times.
She fought the good fight. Her chassi will be buried behind the mound.
There is a bugle playing a sad farewell in the distance.
Congratulations to 2012 Graduate and now Naval Aviator Connor Deneen for earning his wings. The former Beckman CF played 4 years at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and now heads to Lemoore Ca. to fly a 90 million dollar aircraft.
You coach a game Friday. You win.
You go home, eat, sleep.
You wake up early Saturday, get coffee, and arrive at your field at 8am to mow, fertilize, and edge.
6 players are already in the cages.
People have no idea how easy this job is.

Due to the poor air quality, Baseball is cancelled today.
Players are encouraged to stay inside to avoid smoke inhalation.
Players are also encouraged to go outside to avoid the Coronavirus. Your choice.
Thank you everyone for the continuous support. Fortunate to have so many people in my corner & proud to be with the squad
@Athletics

There are three things that give you chills as a HS Baseball Coach...
1. The bus ride home after winning a playoff game on the road.
2. Winning a League Championship at home.
3. The feeling after you completely gut and clean your main storage bin.

The Beckman Baseball team went bowling this afternoon due to the rain. If anyone wants to challenge us in Bowling, we humbly decline the invitation. 🎳 ❌ ⚾️
When John Emme retired after the 2018 season, I gave him a Beckman Baseball jersey with his name on it. Kind of a weird retirement gift, but I wanted him to know that he was the reason we lifted weights, practiced until dark, and prepared for the unexpected.
Congratulations to Sean McLain, Justin Goldstein, and Connor McGuire for signing their NLI’s today. Another proud day for everyone involved in their young lives.
