Left work early on Friday, booked it to 11,000ft to bivy under the stars. Woke up at 4am yesterday, climbed the Complete Exum Ridge to the summit of the Grand Teton by 1:30pm. High tailed it back to car by 7:15pm and into work at 5:15am this morning. Full value 1-day weekend!

In high school, my school had a Civil War History class. The year I took it we did a two day field trip. Day one was spent around the battlefields of Chattanooga. Day two was at my house. Why? Because it’s basically a museum, and my dad is the curator. History buff on steroids.

5 pitches of technical ice. 7400ft of elevation gain. 16 miles. 17.5 hours. — Skiing off the Grand Teton took every mountain skill I had in my tool box. We had perfect weather, a fresh blanket of snow, and not another party on the mountain all day — grateful is an understatement.

Hands down the wildest place I’ve ever ski’d. Blue ice lining the lower walls of the couloir. Luckily, the skiing was far from ice. Deep, stable powder! All-time conditions on one of the classic Teton ski mountaineering test-pieces! #goskiingwithyourfriends

Added backpacks to uniform budget in 2024. Our staff have to take food, tools, water, sunscreen etc with them. We have a large distance between our shop and the course, & out staff has lunch on course everyday. Having a uniform backpack w/ our staff will be an excellent addition

Did the CubCadet walk(mow) so the Husqvarna and Echo robots could run? RG3 ended up being the tech before the tech. Autonomous mowing pivoting from the smallest acreage, highest amt of scrutiny piece of turf on a course to the largest and lowest scrutiny seems obvious now

Prediction: In a decade, over 10% of agronomy departments will have a FAA certified part 107 drone pilot on staff. Drone adaption on golf courses can be slowed due to regulations, but having a certified drone pilot on staff enables you to get the most bang for your buck.

Yesterday was a 6am-6pm full on 12 hour ski tour epic which included walking, hiking, skinning, bootpacking, and two rappels before we got to make any real turns. Luckily, we found some good snow to reward us for the effort. Grand Teton National Park delivers once again!
