When people on here demonise & abuse democratically elected representatives, normalising & inciting hatred, it’s no wonder that it makes the leap out into the real world. Limits get pushed & pushed.
Solidarity with my friend
@LeoVaradkar
tonight & all victims of homophobic abuse.

It has been an honour to serve as Minister of State for Tourism & Sport.
I always did my best for everyone & enjoyed working with so many great people.
I wish my successor the very best in the difficult times ahead for both sectors & for our country as a whole.
Thank you all.🇮🇪
The 5pm suggestion and the way it has been floated has caused enormous worry and stress to so many people and is an insult to our business people and workers in hospitality...
After nearly 2 years of this, the vast majority of people know how to reduce risk and stay safe...
BREAKING:
Great news this evening with the High Court ruling IN FAVOUR OF the South Kerry Greenway.
Another big step...
Brought
@Paschald
there this afternoon in follow up to my call in the Dáil for funding to build the greenway when planning is completed. We’ll keep at it!!! 💪
I received confirmation today from Minister Helen McEntee that the first families will be moved out of Cahersiveen Direct Provision Centre by the end of next week & plans for its total closure in the coming months are underway.
Absolutely overjoyed and relieved by the decision of An Bord Pleanála to grant planning permission for the South Kerry Greenway.
I will continue to work to make this project a reality as soon as possible to build on our great progress on greenways in Kerry in recent years. 💚💛
Three very proud Kerrymen entering Dáil Éireann yesterday...💚💛
Humbled by your support yet again & honoured to represent our county & country in the 33rd Dáil 🇮🇪
The number of adults participating in sport & recreational walking over the last few months is unprecedented in the history of
@sportireland
research...
WELL DONE EVERYONE!
Let’s all try hard to keep it up & encourage our family & friends to

Announcing today a NEW
@KerryAirport
to Manchester route via
@Ryanair
commencing on Mar 29, twice weekly each way to begin, Thursdays & Sundays with the help of major Government support through
@TourismIreland
funding.
Up Kerry!
Please don’t visit a holiday home or caravan park this Easter & don’t rent out accommodation for non-essential use.
By doing so you could help spread the virus & people might die because of your actions.
36 more deaths just announced.This isn’t over
#Stayathome

Go home to Russia Yury & never come back to Ireland...& take your entourage of evil with you.
This man is not a real diplomat.
By him staying we totally devalue all our diplomatic relationships.
Irish Government & EU must expel them all without further delay!

“See” Hello for Christmas...🌎🎄🇮🇪
If ur away from Keel/Castlemaine this Christmas & unable to see a loved one who doesn’t have access to video communication technology, DM me & I’ll set up a Covid-safe video & audio link on their doorstep. (1/3)

Homeward bound! 💚💛
Hopefully you’ll all send me back to the Dáil in a few weeks to continue my work...
#Lookforward
to seeing you all on the campaign trail!

A great day for this man.
Well done my
@FineGael
colleague
@creedcnw
on the opening of the Macroom Bypass after years of hard graft.
Glad to have worked with you on it in the Dáil and during my time in
@Dept_Transport
A huge boost to both our counties.
🟢🟡🔴⚪️
Disgraceful treatment of Michael Healy-Rae outside Leinster House today.
This is not acceptable in our democracy.
Appalling treatment of Gardaí doing their job.
Where does this end?
I come to Dublin to represent the good people of this country. Nothing will ever deter me from doing my job.
I’ve no issue with protesting, never have,never will but you can see the videos circulating and judge for yourselves if that behaviour and use of language is acceptable.
The Chief Fire Officer along with senior figures from the Kerry Fire Service and National Parks and Wildlife Service are coordinating the response to the fire which continues to burn in Killarney National Park.
We thank them for their dedication and resilience
#KillarneyFire
If you want to speak at a politicians’ house, try Leinster House - stand for election and let the people decide...sick behaviour showing up at a family home...
They're outside Mary Lou's house. Anna Harvey is speaking, she has alot of pages she has to get through.
She said amongst other things. "they" want to kill off 95% of the world population through chemical biological warfare that they call the vaccine.
🟢🟡 I raised raised concerns about GAAGO with GAA and RTE officials in Committee today. Just one of Kerry’s six championship matches on free to air TV so far this year isn’t good enough. Here’s a clip of some of the discussion: 🟢🟡
BOOSTED! 💪
🙏Thanks to John (my vaccinator) and the entire team at the
@HSELive
Tralee Vaccination Centre for the Over-30s Walk-in Booster service today.
In and out very efficiently!
I encourage everybody to get vaccinated or boosted as soon as possible...
36 more people with Covid-19 in Kerry in the last 24 hours, our highest ever daily reported figure.
617 new cases & 5 deaths reported nationwide today. Awful figures in Northern Ireland also.
Please adhere to the guidelines this weekend -Let’s all play our part...
Congratulations to my fellow Kerry TD
@NormaFoleyTD1
on her appointment to Cabinet as Minister for Education.
Great news for Kerry to have a voice of influence back at Cabinet.
Here’s the newly re-opened Great Southern Greenway at Abbeyfeale Station this evening following €5M Government investment.
The link to Listowel & the Tralee to Fenit line will be ready next spring.
Progressing Listowel to Tralee would connect Rathkeale all the way to Fenit...
The next 3 years of commemorations in particular will require maturity & understanding for all views & traditions on these islands & respect for history & the truth.
Public representatives must lead & a better future for everyone must be the key motivation, not political gain.
Overall, I think
#THEPLAN
&
@PaulTreyvaud
are right.
If the principle of indoor hospitality is acceptable, it should be for all with the appropriate precautions.
Huge progress on vaccinations to our older & most vulnerable people makes this possible when it wasn’t previously.
WillGate ⚰️ 💷, OutTheGate 🤷🏻♀️ & GrantGate 💷💷 all in 2 weeks for
@sinnfeinireland
Expect full viciousness from them targeting
@LeoVaradkar
this week.
Only perfect is good enough for SF, unless you’re SF.
Leo has always worked for the overall good & is a man of utmost integrity.
I can still remember it, 1989, landing home from school at quarter past 3, not yet 7 years old, and no sign of Dempsey’s Den, replaced by the Budget...😱
& only Live at 3 on the other channel...😱😱
1pm starts these days far better...😎
#Budget
These opposition “alternative” budgets a bit like a soccer player staying off the pitch to play fantasy league...
If only they’d had a chance to form a government and do a real budget...oh wait, that’s right, they had a chance but chickened out...but fantasy is way easier...📣 🐥
Some light at the end of the tunnel today as the High Court dismisses the judicial review against the South Kerry Greenway. An important step. This is a project of national importance in my view...
@countykerry
@Dept_Transport
@DeptCulturelRL
Hard to think of anything else today - a kind & decent man, & a brilliant journalist & broadcaster. A voice of sense & reason in a crazy political world. Gone far too young, a giant in Irish political discourse but always in touch with the ordinary people.
Rest in peace, Michael
The Irish and Olympic flags flying proudly over the Laune tonight as we bid farewell to our cherished Olympian
@MDukarska
who will be joining Killorglin’s Aileen Crowley at the Tokyo games...Up Kerry!!!
Good luck to both and all our wonderful Olympians 💚💛 🇮🇪🇯🇵

’s first day in the Dáil was the day I was born! A long record of hard work -honoured to work with him since 2011 & learn from his vast experience. Smart, kind & decent, with a mighty sense of humour. Wishing him a happy & healthy retirement. Thank you, Richard.
Fabulous day on the Waterford Greenway on Friday - my second time cycling it but a first for my wife and kids, who absolutely loved it - I highly recommend it.
Looking forward to the greenway experience coming to Kerry soon and many more locations nationwide...
🚨👏 CONSTRUCTION OF SOUTH KERRY GREENWAY TO START BEFORE YEAR END!
KCC proceeding with completing statutory requirements securing necessary lands, engaging with landowners on accommodation works & progressing detailed design. Construction anticipated to commence quarter 4 2022.
Great result!!!
@AIBIreland
have just abandoned plans to downgrade our local banks…
Well done everyone for coming together to help achieve this outcome…perhaps now AIB might realise the value, and the influence, of their rural customers…
🚨BREAKING🚨
HALF A MILLION EURO in funding today towards linking up the Blennerville-Cockleshell Greenway with the Tralee-Fenit Greenway via The Spa!
Received confirmation from my party colleague, Minister

Two absolute spanners hanging outside the door of the Minister for Health. And talking nonsense into his intercom.
They remind me of Hank and Marv from Home Alone.. only Hank and Marv had more intelligence
Asked Taoiseach
@MichealMartinTD
today for a September bank holiday to help the hospitality sector. One of many ideas & proposals that could all help. Thanks to
@EoghanOMW
&
@Irishtourismind
for raising this with me recently. Didn’t happen last year but hopefully it will in 2021.
After a lot of hard work and effort in our Department and across the sporting community of Ireland, Minister Ross and I were delighted to launch our new National Sports Policy 2018-27 today.
Through it, we aim to:
-...
Great to have Leo in Kerry to meet and listen to so many people during a very full and busy schedule 🤝👂🏼
Leo has been and will continue to be a very good friend to our county 🟢🟡
Thanks for the visit
@LeoVaradkar
Looking forward to your return soon…
@FineGael
Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann...
Rest in peace Jack. You won a World Cup but managed to make us all feel like we had too...
Thank you for all you did for Irish soccer and for your extraordinary contribution to the Irish nation at a very difficult time 🇮🇪🏴⚽️
Sinn Féin have known since yesterday that they’ve botched their motion of no confidence for Tuesday.
⬇️ See Oireachtas opinion below.
They misled Dáil Business Committee on Thursday when motion & vote could have been organised for Convention Centre.

Loved being part of

in Tralee today.
Bit of a change from this day last year😃
Lost over 5 stone in 2018 and don't have high blood pressure anymore...if I can do it, you can too...

Bit of a long read here but this piece tries to encapsulate what the All-Ireland final means to us in Kerry!
Safe journey to everyone travelling to and from Croke Park this weekend!

All-Ireland Sunday - Time to make new memories:
💚💛
“Anyone who revels in the death of others has debased their own humanity...” - Kenny Donaldson (Innocent Victims United) The Irish Times, April 3, 2021.
👇This horrible & hurtful dancing on victims’ graves has to stop on all sides - it’s never acceptable & sows further hatred...
This man is depraved. He was in Donegal when my sister's murder was carried out in April 1984. She never got to celebrate any further Christmases and it was never the same for us. Just like thousands of other families Anybody who thinks this is funny lacks emotional intelligence
The portrait of John Bruton that hangs on the Taoiseach’s landing just outside the Dáil chamber…
Statements on his passing being delivered in the Dáil now.
Enormous respect and regard expressed by all the main parties.
Rest in peace, John (1947-2024) 🇮🇪
Great news this morning with €32 MILLION coming to Kerry...€16M for Killarney and €15.9M for Tralee.
Another important step and the work continues...Well done
@countykerry
@TraleeAlliance
@KlyChamber
and all involved.
Making the case in the Dáil this week for funding for BOTH Tralee AND Killarney, the two Kerry applications under the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund (URDF).
Vital that funding is provided to help build a bright future for Kerry’s two biggest towns...💚💛
Thanks to Minister
@SimonHarrisTD
for a busy day of engagements in Tralee today.
Lots of exciting work being done by great people in the area of Higher Education and Training in Kerry.
