When I #amreading a book and the MC asks a question about her surroundings as if something does not make sense, I see this as either lazy writing that the author did not want to explain, or a stepping stone on a path that could lead somewhere later. However, it aggravates me. 😅

@robinwordss @BookSpotlight I’d go with the agent, because if they find a traditional publisher that wants your book, they will probably offer you an advance in an amount that they think your book is equal to. Some people receive a quarter of a million in advances. Self publishing is not all bad though.

An author may think of what they will create for hours before the passion to write what is on their mind builds momentum until it surprises them in a frenzy of inspiration - like a sudden kiss that must be acted upon or else the moment will be lost.

Made it to Chapter Nine. Took long enough. I keep killing characters off. This is turning into 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐵𝑜𝑜𝑘 𝑜𝑓 𝐺ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑡𝑠 instead of all superhero action. Writing about the superpowers is intertwining beautifully like ribbons in a bride’s braid.

@MaryleeMacD My old manuscript was pulled by an indie publisher to be read as part of a publishing contest. It probably won’t go anywhere, but the fact that they spent any time reading my novel made me happy! 😊
