The historical and cultural differences between the Kalinga and Kalingga kingdoms is quite significant. It's a pity that not many people would care to understand or grow their knowledge, only because of a misunderstood term. The earlier was in India and the later, Indonesia.
So the KK mart founder and his wife have now been charged. Any idea what happened to the case below? If she was not charged equally or perhaps even more, being a practicing Muslim, I'd say, this whole exercise is nothing but a racially driven political witch hunt.
Zakir Naik can't speak Bahasa Malaysia but still gets a PR (don't know if it's already converted to citizenship), an island, huge following and government protection. So this Bahasa Malaysia debate is but nonsensical. Nothing but a weak weapon wielded by the fragile.
Ironically, most of the Malays can’t even speak/write proper BM without mixing English words.
Kad pengenalan, not IC
Kakitangan, not staff
Membaharui, not renew
Pasport, not passport
Yet they are busy policing non-Malays’ BM proficiency.
I'm involved in the Sri Lankan and Malaysian investments, politics and social development scene in a professional capacity, let me tell you this:
1) Malaysia is a 3rd world country.
2) If Malaysia keeps its current racist stance and extensive handouts, it will become bankrupt.
Sri Lanka is a 3rd world country.
Malaysia isn’t. There’s no chance Malaysia will ever default on our loans or go bankrupt because we are not a 3rd world country.
Malaysia is far greater. Managed by responsible individuals and institutions.
So, in Malaysia, instead of doing one of the following:
1. Biometric verification
2. IC verification
3. Birth certificate verification
4. Provide translation services (which many countries do in order to embrace diversity)
The officer decides to have a BM oral examination. 😏
When I see people unnecessarily reacting to Anwar's speech and the reference of Bahasa Keling without knowing that he was referring to the Kalinga Kingdom in North Jawa and the Kelings, who were Dravidians speaking Dravidian languages, Tamil included. Stop being so triggered.
To all the intellectually challenged Malaysians who dangle Adib's death to guilt trip the Malaysians of Indian ancestry, let's be clear on this. The Chinese tycoons hired Malay gangs to chase away the Indians from the temple who then retaliated. All are guilty. So, zip it!
Convenience store chain KK Mart’s mobile application was hacked today, with the words “Amaran Terakhir” (final warning) appearing on the app.
However, the app was back to normal at about 10am today.

In 2000, PPD Kluang, Johor, came out with a circular prohibiting non-muslims in SKs and SMKs from bringing cooked food from their homes for the Teacher's Day celebrations in the schools. The only reason for that happening is because they couldn't fathom that we can cook halal.

Firstly, Islam states that it is compulsory to fast only post puberty. Until then, they can be taught. Hence, the school making it compulsory, is wrong. Secondly, making students hide and eat or drink is in no way teaching them to be accepting of the beliefs of the other.

8pm -12pm is unacceptable. Why would they do that? No where in Hindu worship does it say that. This is more of a personal preference of those in the temple than it is religious.

In fact, it is teaching them to be shameful to practice normalcy in front of those who fast. Perhaps the authorities need to understand that fasting is not just an Islamic practice but something shared by most religions. As a matter of fact, some are more intense than the other.
A friend of mine, who had been living her life as a Hindu, didn't know she was Muslim until she applied for her IC when she was 12. Her father, who left her family while she was young, had secretly converted to Islam, married another (Malay) and apparently converted his children.

I know he ran away with his wife and close friend Abdul Kadir, a Tamil-Muslim imam, who was helping run the household at the request of the sultan's wife as the sultan was slipping from his duties... Don't tell me it was him 😅 interesting interracial journey.
Itu lah... When you live in your little bubble with only Muslims and not know the kafirs and their way of life, you would come up with such conclusions. Most kafirs have laws which actually keep us monogamous. Come out of your tempurung every now and then into the real world.

Hidup macam kafir mana ada value, nak sex dgn ramai perempuan layan mcm sex object pun tak apa asal ada consent, tak wajib sedia tempat tinggal, pakaian, makan, nafkah
Kalau kena tinggal , kafir mana ada hak nak tuntut keadilan, tak ada ikatan sah, anak luar nikah x dpt harta
@amiranafqh
My dear, the child is definitely yours unless they have managed to have an embryo transfer without your consent. However, I think you should not be calling the boy/man yours anymore.
@ZackAvaricious
I believe that all of you are missing the point.... The black and white image of Malaysia symbolises the loss of values of the nation due to the disrespecting of democracy and undoing of the constitution. Just like how most of us voice our grivences via posts on social media
If you are insisting that only Muslims can talk about Islam, Hindus about Hinduism, Christians about Christianity, etc, why can you let only alcohol consumers talk about alcohol? It's funny how non-consumers, who have no experience, are suddenly becoming subject matter experts.

She is sticking exactly to that principle. Instead of leading people astray by saying that it is haram to step into a bar, she is sharing the truth. She is also not demonizing alcohol as what most of you are doing. She is also reminding that it's between you and god.

It is assumed that it is haram for you to drink. But it is okay for you to be at a place where alcohol is served and choose to drink other beverages. There is no need for unnecessary drama. Unless you are not confident of your virtues and that you would be easily influenced.

Most johoreans, pre and post bangsa Johor know of this and more. Hence, the lack of enthusiasm within the state. Bangsa Johor is just a propaganda. We seem to see more excitement coming from outside the state than from within 😅🤣

How much religious studies do you want to shove down a child's throat? Especially at a time when we as a nation are losing our competitive edge in the global scene due to the lack of proper education. Inipun nak pencerahan kah? Priorities, priorities, priorities....
@JibrilZul
As a guy, I was told to wear long pants during school sports because I had to tutup aurat. Many other things have been shoved in our faces too. You remaining oblivious to these is completely on you. Plus, just because you can't drive in other lanes properly doesn't mean we can't.
I am a non-muslim and I know adequately about Islam (through formal education). You are a Muslim and ONLY know about Islam (through religious studies). We are not in the same league. You have A lane. I have LANES. So don't talk to people like us about staying in our lane.
How about men who lose their virginity before marriage? How about the men who are involved in the loss of the woman's virginity? Do they have a special place in society or are they negligible like your opinion?
@noreennadia_
Actually I see quite a number of people defending it and promoting a more accepting culture. Good to see the good folks (you included), voicing out for Malaysians as a whole. Thank you!!! 💪💪💪
So, the theatrics is not about justice. It's about how many people they can convert and how many they can retain, hoping that Allah will grant them a special place in heaven. It's easier to do shitty things like these than to be a good person. Stupid people make a relatable god.
@dirty_kukie
Technically what they are doing, going to the gym and sweeping their issues under the rug and failing to address it, is called escapism. Many people do it and they become a bigger problem to the society.
@ZackAvaricious
The meaning of the colours have long separated from the flag. The yellow failed to protect the people. The blue failed when truth and honesty failed to be upheld. Red failed when people protesting peacefully were hauled up to the lockup. White failed when peace failed.
@ZackAvaricious
Logically, a flag is an inanimate object which bears no emotions. A person on the other hand, has feelings and senses. Where you see mutilation, many see the expression of grievance. Symbolising the burning of a flag of a nation, now, that is disrespectful. Not this.

I have plenty of Chinese friends who went to Chinese schools and speak brilliantly in BM. Not sure where you are looking at. I even know old uncles and aunties who didn't have proper schooling, who are able to converse better in Malay than in English.

Yes, we have land and property titles to prove that ini tanah bapa kami. We have our ICs and birthcerts too to prove we are Malaysians. Your validation and approval is not required.
The growing Islamization in national schools is quite blatant these days. The ceiling for stupidity seems to reach newer heights with each passing day. Of course, if I were to point of saying it's Islamization, they would just say I'm an islamaphobe.

She is now 30 and is still fighting to get her documents changed to say that she is not Muslim. She has been going to the courts with her mother since she found out and is yet to be granted it. Her mother and sister are Hindu but she still is forced to remain in islam.
Actually, non-hetero relationships were considered a sin only when Abrahamic religions were created. Even then, the parameters which make them a sin are very vague, usually citing Sodom and Gomorrah and the carnal lust portrayed there. So, LGBT was fine until you lot showed up!
I have Muslim friends who consume pork and drink alcohol although the majority of the muslim population would not be in favour of it. But I wouldn't consider them chameleons or whatsoever because I know it's a personal choice and I assess people based on their actions.
There is a difference between being sexually active and being a pervert. Just because a person is sexually active, doesn't mean that he should be a pervert. The difference is usually caused by the choice of an individual choosing to think using his brains or his balls.

Actually, the richest 10 or perhaps even 20 might be ethnically labeled as Malays. Unfortunately, they are just in an unfortunate position of not being able to openly declare their wealth. Give them immunity on that front and see the numbers swell.

The problem with these sort of tweets can be summarised in two statements:
1) A poor understanding of what sex education is.
2) A poor understanding on what unwanted pregnancies are.
Sex ed is not solely for the purpose of preventing unwanted pregnancies.
Thread about consequences of unwanted pregnancies in countries WITH COMPREHENSIVE SEX EDUCATION available in schools.
Lets go deeper than say: sex ed in schools resolves unwanted pregnancies. News flash: it doesnt.
@AirithJebat
Oh my.... Quite lost aren't you? Mari saya share sikit:
1) anybody can enroll in a vernacular school
2) syllabus kat vernacular schools and national schools are standardized. Sampai even kertas BM sekarang adalah sama.
3) Elemen patriotik dipupuk di kalangan pelajar.
Firstly, we don't need another brainwashing subject to tell Muslim students that their peers are false god worshipers and are going to hell as that does nothing but fuel disharmony. Secondly, Pendidikan Moral is the shittiest subject in the entire syllabus ever created!
"No non-Muslim students will be involved in learning this module.
"Non-Muslim students, just like now, will continue to attend Moral Education classes."
Keep religion out of schools. There are already religious schools for that. Morality in schools should not have a religious connotation and should be uniformed for all. That is how you foster national unity. Not by saying things are different because you're of A religion.
1. The new "Imam Al-Nawawi 40 Hadith" module only involves Muslim teachers and students, Deputy Education Minister Lim Hui Ying told Sin Chew.
"For Chinese and Tamil schools, only Muslim students need to attend, and not non-Muslim students," she says.
Only 2 things to say:
1) Islam is not the only religion to practices fasting. There are more intense types fasting then what you practice.
2) Ramadan is a month to practice humility. Clearly, they are failing miserably.
@Kendogdoll
Oh don't worry, the many I know speak fluent Malay even without such incentives. So do other races too. Pity that people are fooled into thinking that non-Malays can't speak Bahasa Malaysia. I mean, that's a special kind of foolishness.... 😂😂😂

Why is Nasi Kandar babi offensive? You can literally make nasi kandar with anything. It's like saying rendang babi is an abomination. Didn't know that there are strict rules or laws governing the cooking of food as such. If you're offended then that is really on you.

Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right. And furthermore, doesn't the Qur'an ask you to lower your gaze if you find a women's clothing provocative? Then again, if you're turned on even by the view of her wrist, you may need a psychiatrist.
