In 2000, PPD Kluang, Johor, came out with a circular prohibiting non-muslims in SKs and SMKs from bringing cooked food from their homes for the Teacher's Day celebrations in the schools. The only reason for that happening is because they couldn't fathom that we can cook halal.

Secondly, making students hide and eat or drink is in no way teaching them to be accepting of the beliefs of the other.

@donnodonke @yuveraaaj I have plenty of Chinese friends who went to Chinese schools and speak brilliantly in BM. Not sure where you are looking at. I even know old uncles and aunties who didn't have proper schooling, who are able to converse better in Malay than in English.

She is now 30 and is still fighting to get her documents changed to say that she is not Muslim. She has been going to the courts with her mother since she found out and is yet to be granted it. Her mother and sister are Hindu but she still is forced to remain in islam.

Actually, non-hetero relationships were considered a sin only when Abrahamic religions were created. Even then, the parameters which make them a sin are very vague, usually citing Sodom and Gomorrah and the carnal lust portrayed there. So, LGBT was fine until you lot showed up!

I have Muslim friends who consume pork and drink alcohol although the majority of the muslim population would not be in favour of it. But I wouldn't consider them chameleons or whatsoever because I know it's a personal choice and I assess people based on their actions.

I still remember when I was in secondary school, PPD Kluang had come up with a circular stating that non-muslims were not allowed to bring cooked food for teacher's day celebrations in schools as they would be considered non-halal. We ignored it and still brought cooked food.

I have seen how possessive the authorities get with these kids

The problem with these sort of tweets can be summarised in two statements: 1) A poor understanding of what sex education is. 2) A poor understanding on what unwanted pregnancies are. Sex ed is not solely for the purpose of preventing unwanted pregnancies.

Keep religion out of schools. There are already religious schools for that. Morality in schools should not have a religious connotation and should be uniformed for all. That is how you foster national unity. Not by saying things are different because you're of A religion.
