Something we wanted to improve in "Shadows of the Afterland" are the opening lines in conversations. We wanted to avoid repetition, but having more than one option was very complex and error-prone, so I built support directly into the engine and now it's safe and easy!

I improved the game engine to eliminate brittle code in conversation files. Characters' heads now automatically turn towards the current speaker, keeping conversation files super clean and readable. Look at Celestino in this example:
