Year ago today, 5:45am massive heart attack before work. 2hr wait for ambulance, paralysed on stairs and drifting in & out. Stent fitted, discharged myself 34hrs later and went home. Since then became a union rep, media interviews, gigs, picket lines & protests. Been a year ✊🏼

In a care home we deliver to. Its not an official collection but the people here can't get to a postbox & it costs us nothing to empty. A handful of cards & letters if that, but it's an absolute lifeline to the outside. Thats why the USO matters. It's about lives not dividends.

That was an...interesting day. Strikes mean we had 3 days work in 1 today. Monday's are usually a tray of letters (if that) and a bag of packets. 4 rammed trays and 3.5 bags by end of sorting. And £180 lighter wage this week. Don't tell me I don't graft @trussliz We go on. ✊🏼

@thesquaregg This. Amazon etc do 1000s of parcels at lightning speed because that's ALL they do. We keep an eye out for people, trusted implicitly, know our customers by name, visit cottages & farms down lanes etc. Kids wave at us, dogs bark and life continues calmly.
