We always use the term "one in a million" to describe something particularly special, so I've always loved that at any given time, only one in a million Californians get to be a State Senator. You're in an important place at a special time in CA state history.

Congratulations! If we hadn’t moved you’d be my Senator. When I started in the Senate in 1983 there were only 2 women in the house — Rose Ann Vuich and Diane Watson. And they were the FIRST TWO! In 1983! Oy! The boys club is now officially done. ❤️
