I'd far rather the Council balance its books by privatising the air show or switching off Christmas lights, as opposed to illegal schemes, like selling its beach huts to a sham company. Or pulling "transformation savings" out of thin air.

👇 This is so shortsighted and damaging to our local economy. Our appeal, for visitors and those living here, is the exceptional family experience we offer that gives the town a sense of pride & identity. First the air show. Then the Xmas lights. What will they cancel next?

This tells you all you need to know about transparency and accountability at BCP Council - they won't reveal who banned the public from standing in the gallery, as my motive is to cause "harassment and distress ... to staff".

So get this - @Bournemouthecho has removed the line about Wessex Fields being sold "at £4m below the red book value" - but only after that "inaccuracy" went all the way round BCP, the Preserve Talbot Heath group, & other SM accounts...

Drew Mellor, BCP Council leader's, been caught out - he told @mikefcox & others at a scrutiny meeting, 2 September, that withholding KPMG reports from Cllrs (re beach hut sales etc) was nothing to do with him ... 1/

This Poole Engage party shouldn't be legal IMO. Two are lead members in Broadhead's Cabinet; all voted with the Tories, or WERE Tories, until recently. Note how they played around with the name too (Poole Engage/Poole Local) to abduct votes from Poole People

Also in the Bournemouth Echo, this is interesting - Cllr Edwards' statement makes it pretty clear that a whip's been being used on Scrutiny, contravening BCP's Constitution AND statutory guidance.

Massive corruption here from Marvin Rees, outgoing Mayor of Bristol - he lied to get the Safety Valve scheme imposed (pretending it was "under embargo"), while statutory officers went along with these lies. Just the tip of the iceberg at Bristol City Council.

I've just got my FOI from the DFE. Marvin Rees lied. Asher Craig lied. Senior Bristol City Council staff lied. There was no embargo for the Safety Valve. They lied and they lied and they lied. This council and Labour Cabinet spied. They lied. And they have got away with it

Great to see no references whatsoever to "city regions" or "iconic cityscapes" in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole draft local plan, which is here, p 137 onwards:
