Squinter: In covering the queen's vigil in Ediburgh the BBC laughed at Catholics being 'cleared out' of Scotland. It approvingly broadcast a tribute to the queen from a UVF band which regularly pays tribute to Catholic-killing gunmen. But Celtic fans are the problem. Got that?

In the 80s Belfast City Council banned ads from our paper to try to close us down, our journalists were arrested & shot with plastic bullets by the RUC, our offices blockaded by British Army. Intimidation & harassment never stopped us doing our job. Never will. #IrisAnPhobail

The British Army imposed the Falls Curfew on 3 July 1970. In less than 48 hours, their troops killed four defenceless civilians. On 5 July, the women of Belfast smashed through the curfew cordon. The world would never be the same today.

Squinter: At the Central Library archive I found these death notices in the News Letter/Belfast Telegraph classifieds of July '75 for the men who were part of the UVF/UDR gang that carried out the Miami Showband atrocity. There were scores of UVF/UDA notices. Cash only back then.
