Today is the 5th anniversary 🎂 of
@codechrysalis
. No journey is without its challenges, but the last five years have been incredibly meaningful.
For the past 7 months, I have been leading a complete reorganization of CC. I do not think I have ever learned this much in my life.
I hope to talk more about it in the future, but part of the reorganization started with understanding what
@codechrysalis
's core values are:
* Give a shit
* Always improving
* Be authentic
And aligning on what our focus as a business is.
Learning how to evolve our company and get ready for our next phase of growth takes real investment in these core values that we hold dear, along with discipline and focus.
For a while, it felt like we were "stuck" at a certain size and we had to learn how to climb out of it.
By embracing our core values and focus, we made a bunch of major changes and steps:
- I officially assumed the role of COO and passed off the CTO hat to a woman much more capable than me (Jill!!!)
- Overhauled the organizational structure and business lines of our company
- Hired an awesome Chief Marketing Officer
@FourFootFour
- Getting our HR up to speed, including having a full-time HR manager (joining soon!!)
- Bringing more discipline into decision making and strategy
- so much more
To cap it off, we made two more key senior hires this week.
I can't wait to share more about what's in store for the future!
@munidk
and I started
@codechrysalis
with a vision of changing the way we train software engineers and it is coming to fruition.
Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported us in our journey.🥰🙏🏻🥳
