No judiciary exams since 2018 in UP. Every now & then they come w some changes and add on Acts in syllabus (for mains). The syllabus now has more than 15 Acts (major +minor) - IMAGINE w GS & Language. Keeping aside it all, why on earth will they add Acts in GS section? 🥹

A friend cleared Bihar judiciary pre in 2020, gave mains in 2021 and is waiting for interview date yet to be announced in 2022. I am hoping that by 2023 she will be a judicial officer. UP has not conducted any exam after 2019 despite so many vacancies in judiciary. Sigh

The govt vacancies in the country continue to be in a dilapidated state. Some have been waiting for joining letters since 2018. Some clear the exam only to find later that their vacancy has been cancelled. The ones who protest land up in jail, and what remains constant, +++

Introducing All India Judicial Services (AIJS) will not curb the issue that civil judge exams in lower judiciary face (as suggested by many). AIJS as per Constitution and law commission reports is only for the recruitment of District judges and no position below it.
