Oak Cliff muralist Roberto Marquez placed 8 hand made crosses here at the Allen Outlets in memory of the precious lives lost yesterday. “There are people in pain who feel lifted when they feel support from the community,” he told me. He was also in Uvalde doing the same thing.

Just gave a homeless man my leftover homemade carrot cake that I was going to take to the newsroom. You should have seen how happy he was. He took the cake holder, ran across the street and I saw him share it with a homeless woman. Talk about filling me up with joy.
