My grandfather became a good friends with Rock Hudson during WWII, they were in the Navy stationed in the Philippines together. When Hudson died my grandfather told me that "Roy" was one of the kindest men he'd ever known. I'll never forget his sadness.

It's a shame that Rock Hudson had to live his life in secret. He did it because there were people like Ron DeSantis & his evangelical buddies around at the time, oppressing people, making them fearful. We can't allow that situation to happen again.

In 1952, artist Ellsworth Kelly created Red Yellow Blue White, a set of panels made from brightly dyed cotton. He then asked his friend Anne Weber to sew the leftover fabric into a dress banded with color, a way “of getting color off the wall and having it walk around the room.”
