My timeline is full of negative reactions to the #BahrainGP . Watching Nigel Mansell winning in 1992 with a car ~3 seconds a lap quicker than Senna and Schumacher wasn't exactly thrilling either, but things change eventually. The sport is not dead, just like it wasn't back then

A never-reported fact about this season: In the final 9 races of 1992, @MBrundleF1 outscored every driver except Nigel Mansell. Yep, you read that right: His 33 points were more than Senna (32), Schumacher (27), and his 1993 replacement Patrese (28).

Also, we shouldn't treat drivers leaving F1 as an emotional tragedy. There are millions who want to be Grand Prix drivers but only 20 people in the world can do it, and none of them are hungry or homeless. We should celebrate that they made it there at all, against massive odds

I’ve been in hospital in Bahrain since Sunday night thanks to a crippling back injury that stopped me boarding my flight when I was literally at the gate. Looks like I’ll be here all week which is a pretty lonely experience, but hopefully I’m on the road to recovery

Oh by the way, Lewis Hamilton just beat Ayrton Senna's all-time record for most races led from start-to-finish, and Alain Prost's record for most wins in a driver's home event. And he did all of that while driving with a puncture because he's a savage :) #BritishGP
