A stark reminder that @medway_council have had a 91% cut in Government Funding since 2010. The pressure on all councils, particularly those with statutory care responsibilities, are real and genuine meaning difficult decisions have to be made to balance the books.

The decision of Michael Gove’s department to take £170 million from Medway is deeply disappointing. Any elected representative welcoming such a decision to starve our community of much needed resources and infrastructure needs to take a long hard look at their priorities.
