I’m happy for Justin Bieber. You can only imagine how difficult it must have been being such an icon at such a young age. I’m glad he’s found Jesus and has made steps to walk with Him. Brings me so much joy and reminds me that everyone needs to hear about God’s love for us!

I was on the phone with one of my closest friends from secondary school. He's in prison but he still wanted to congratulate me on graduating. He reminded me that it's bigger than me. I needed that for this new chapter of life. It's funny how God reminds you of your purpose.

Early in my first year of uni I took a late night walk around my campus whilst playing The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill - I was quite anxious about the whole uni thing. Now I’ve just taken a final walk to see one of my tutors and I’ve got the same album playing. God is faithful.

When I was in Naij earlier this year I was filling out a form for something. The guy asked for my surname so I said it then proceeded to spell it (as I always do in the UK). I didn’t even finish ‘A’ and he looked at me and said he knows how to spell it. That moment sticks.

In the Igbo language, there’s a saying “jisie ike” which when loosely translated means “good luck” To hold to that definition does the phrase a disservice and removes so much of its’ power. “Jisie” can be translated as “to hold to” and “ike” to “strength/power.”
