Announcement🚨🧵
I am excited to announce that I’ve started a new role that will enable me to combine my passion for tennis and analytics to help grow this sport. I have accepted a full-time position as a Social/Digital Media Content Creator & Data Analyst for

Nadal cried when Federer won RG in 2009. He cried uncontrollably tonight too. Djokovic cried too. It’s genuine. From the heart. It’s pure. Rivals. Friends. They have gone through it all together. Together, they created 18 years of unforgettable history to cherish forever. Love 🎾
Novak Djokovic at age 35.5 can miss Australian Open, US Open, Indian Wells, Miami, Canada, Cincinnati + earn 0 points for winning Wimbledon and still finish the season comfortably inside the Top 8.
Yes, folks, he’s just that damn good.
Roger Federer just makes people care. He makes people cry. He makes people laugh. He makes people stressed. He makes people nervous. He makes people feel a part of something bigger than a single match. One giant celebration of tennis. He’s been a true living calendar for many!
Carlos Alcaraz has announced that he and Iga Swiatek are playing mixed doubles together at Wimbledon this year 😮
Very intrigued by this mixed doubles partnership.
Worth stating the most incredible statistic that Roger Federer played 1526 professional tennis matches on the ATP Tour and never retired in the middle of a match at any point in time.
Tsitsipas and Badosa have released more content of their recent relationship in 2 days time than Roland Garros has released highlights from matches the entire tournament 🤯
Men’s tennis right now
Alcaraz struggling with his arm
Sinner struggling with his hip
Medvedev injured with his groin/hip/adductor
Expectations not high with Rune right now
Zverev subpar clay season so far
Nadal semi-retired
Novak Djokovic heading to RG
Say all you want about Novak Djokovic, but the man is all class when he loses. Great sport. Many would not have given such a generous and heartwarming runners up speech filled with congratulations to his opponent. He’s won several matches like this and he even acknowledged that.
Winning a 250, 500, 1000, and a Major all in the same season as a 19 year old is pretty special. This era of Women’s Tennis has just got even more special. 2 generational talents inside the top 3.
The 2 best players on grass right now are Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz
The 2 best players on a clay right now are Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz
The 2 best players on a hard right now are Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz
They are the 2 best guys regardless of surface
Rublev won his last match against Djokovic
Rublev won his last match against Nadal
Rublev won his last match against Federer
Rublev won his last match against Murray
Rublev won his last match against Medvedev
Rublev won his last match against Thiem
Rafael Nadal is that kid at school who pays attention in class, takes notes, asks the teacher questions, doesn’t procrastinate on assignments, and studies diligently. He aces the exams and gets straight As. When asked how much he studied - “honestly I barely studied” YEAH RIGHT😂
Players like Stan Wawrinka, Andy Murray, Richard Gasquet, Gael Monfils, Kei Nishikori, Milos Raonic, & others are out here busting their asses each week. They have nothing left to prove to anyone. They all just simply love the sport to no end & will do it till they can’t anymore.
Dusan Lajovic

and 16 career ATP Titles. The greatest forehand technique of all time. A work of art. A model for all tennis coaches around the world 😂
TennisTV commentators brought up a great stat:
With his win over Medvedev today, Gasquet has now defeated a player ranked in every slot of No.1 to No.100
I don’t want to hear “Ruud had an easy draw” on route to his 3rd Major Final. Not his problem that Medvedev or Sinner didn’t get to the QF and beating Ymer, Zeppieri, Zhang, Jarry, Rune, and Zverev is no joke. Jarry and Rune also beat Casper in Rome and Geneva, just prior to RG.
Since February 2004, 6 ATP Players have managed to reach World
#1
- Roger Federer
- Rafael Nadal
- Novak Djokovic
- Andy Murray
- Daniil Medvedev
- Carlos Alcaraz
Amongst these 6, Sir Andy Murray is the only one to have never lost to David Goffin. He leads the H2H 7-0.
Alcaraz (in his own unique way) is starting to have that Federer effect on viewers in that every match he plays, no matter who the opponent is, feels like must see tv bcuz you know there’s a chance you might witness some magic you’ve never seen before.
Iga Swiatek is 109-16 since the start of the 2022 season with 11 WTA Titles in that span (3 Majors, 4 1000s, 4 500s).
Carlos Alcaraz is 109-17 since the completion of the 2021 Paris Masters with 11 ATP Titles in that span (2 Majors, 4 1000s, 4 500s, 1 250) + Next Gen Finals🏆.
20 years old. Nakashima and I had the same tennis coach for many years. We went to rival high schools. I know him & his family personally. I’ve seen his professionalism, work ethic, and commitment first hand since he was 10. I & the rest of San Diego Tennis are so proud of you!
Objectively, on the right is what Zverev actually said. It’s very different from the real thing. This is yet another example of why you shouldn’t ever trust Luigi Gatto. Never has been a credible source.
Nadal is genuine when he says he’s not worried about how many slams he wins in relation to Djokovic and Federer. It’s truly about just giving himself another chance to compete & be healthy again. He will sleep just fine at night knowing he squeezed every drop out of his career.

Disgraceful behavior from SST & Bouzkova to push the umpire to call for a default here. I hope they feel guilty about “winning” like this. Sad situation all round, bcuz even though it accidentally hit the ball girl, there was zero intention whatsoever. This wasn’t hit in anger.
Miyu Kato & Aldila Sutjiadi just got defaulted as Kato hit a ball girl accidentally at 6-7(1), 3-1.
Ball girl is okay but got scared & started crying. Kato went to check on her & apologize but nothing could be done — supervisor called, default confirmed.
Roger Federer made the 2020 Australian Open SF, 2021 Roland Garros R4, and 2021 Wimbledon QF. It takes most players a full career to achieve these results and often times these are “career best results” for players. Federer managed to achieve these results on literally one leg.
“The New Big 3” according to Zverev in 2022: ‘Djokovic, Medvedev, Myself’
Medvedev 4th in race: 16-5 W/L
Zverev 10th in race: 17-6 W/L
Djokovic 163rd in race: 2-2 W/L
Meanwhile:
Nadal 1st in race: 20-1 W/L
Tsitsipas 2nd in race: 22-7 W/L
Alcaraz 3rd in race: 18-3 W/L
Djokovic beat Alcaraz (2x), Medvedev (2x), Sinner this year
Alcaraz beat Djokovic, Medvedev (2x), Sinner this year
Medvedev beat Djokovic, Alcaraz, Sinner (2x) this year
Sinner beat Djokovic, Alcaraz (2x), Medvedev (2x) this year
It’s a very strong Top 4 right now!
Rough sledding for Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Zverev, Rublev generation
They had to contend with the more complete and experienced Rafaole Gen to win slams
Simultaneously contending with the more complete & more fearless Alcaraz, Sinner, Rune to win slams
Tough scar tissue sandwich
What makes Roger Federer so popular is how he finds a way to relate to everyone from a janitor to a billionaire in any field. He treats everyone the exact same and does so with great class & respect. He’s a people person who shows genuine interest in everyone. PeRFect role model!
There are only 5 Active Male & Female Player to have won a Major on all 3 surfaces
Serena Williams
Ashleigh Barty
Roger Federer
Rafael Nadal
Novak Djokovic
Rafael Nadal was the most successful teenager I’ve seen in terms of records, titles, wins, clay court pedigree, etc. But I’ve not seen a teenager as complete as Carlos Alcaraz. The amount of options he has in his game and the amount of ways he can beat you is just astounding.
My Perfect ATP Tennis Player
Forehand: Benoit Paire
Backhand: Jack Sock
1st Serve: Diego Schwartzman
2nd Serve: Alex Zverev
Return of Serve: Ivo Karlovic
Movement: John Isner
Overhead: Novak Djokovic
Volleys: Radu Albot
Mental Strength: Bernard Tomic
Most wins against the No. 1 in the ATP Rankings without reaching
#1
of the world rankings:
10 Juan Martin Del Potro
7 Michael Chang
7 Richard Krajicek
6 Roscoe tanner
5 Tom Okker
5 Magnus Larsson
5 Goran Ivanisevic
5 Stan Wawrinka
5 Dominic Thiem
5 David Ferrer
I’ve never seen a 36 year old male tennis player be this dominant this consistently.
Federer was pretty darn close to this and made it look effortless, but this is another level of greatness from Djokovic.
Imagine Djokovic wins this 3rd set and then Wimbledon, he’ll have racked up 12 of his 24 Majors from 2018 Wimbledon to 2023 Wimbledon from age 31-36. A 5 year span where he also missed 2 Majors, got defaulted in another, retired mid-match in another, and no Wimbledon in 2020🤯
Carlos Alcaraz is simply the best thing to happen to Men’s Tennis at the perfect time. He is capable of taking your breath away each time. The speed and court coverage is a joke. He’s explosive, exhilarating, youthful, & has a charismatic personality. Total generational package.
Kevin Anderson, the 2017 US Open Finalist, did not get a wildcard into the main draw & has to qualify. I’d welcome a rule that if you are a former finalist or champion of an event (esp if it’s clearly at the back end of your career) then you should automatically get a wildcard.
Elina Svitolina was outside the Top 1340 on April 3rd when she played Yulia Putintseva in Charleston.
Now she’s
#27
in the live rankings and
#22
in the live race.
Skai was born on October 15, 2022.
What she’s doing right now is surreal and superhuman 🤯
Alcaraz is self-critical/brutally honest/reflective after losses
- Admitted pressure of playing Djokovic got to him after RG loss/cramps
- Admitted “he isn’t mature enough” after Meddy USO loss
- Admitted “he was complaining too much”, “out mentally in set 2” after Sinner loss
One of Nadal’s greatest attributes is his longevity. The tactician he’s become since 2017 is remarkable. Knowing that he’s lost a lot of his physicality and speed, boy has he more than made up for that with his clarity of mind, commitment to aggression, and his IQ. He’s a genius.
This was the worst part of Kyrgios’ presser for me. The fact that he actually stooped that low. Calling Tsitsipas “soft” reeks of toxic masculinity. He talks so much about his own mental health struggles, but then has zero consideration for anyone else’s. Blatantly Ironic, right?
Nick Kyrgios meltdowns have become so predictable in matches. You know exactly when they are coming. No wonder he got a game penalty in the second set. He’s 27 years old. He’s never going to change.
Sinner is becoming pretty scary
clean ball striking & baseline power/brute force off both wings like prime Wawrinka/Thiem
Elite court coverage & open stance movement with improved leg strength
Best running FH since Delpo
Best returner after Djokovic
Gains on serve, net
This rally of two top 10 tennis players fooling around in an exhibition is already an infinitely sexier and higher quality version of any peak pickleball rally😅
Lowkey Ben Shelton kinda reminds me of Denis Shapovalov in 2017, where he just had zero baggage and could play freely with joy and no target on his back. Similar type of feel &approach. Wild injections of pace, huge swings, the return game & rally tolerance the weakness.
9 men in tennis history have 5+ career victories vs Novak Djokovic
Rafael Nadal (29)
Roger Federer (23)
Andy Murray (11)
Stan Wawrinka (6)
Jo-Wilfred Tsonga (6)
Andy Roddick (5)
David Ferrer (5)
Dominic Thiem (5)
Daniil Medvedev (5)
He’s played 12 majors & has a 45-10 W/L with success at all 4 at age 20. It’s unreasonable to expect him to deliver in every single big match so early. This was his first time in Aus Open as a legit title contender. Give him a few seconds to breathe and grow, he’ll be just fine.
For all the outlandish praise we’ve showered upon him, we’ve been taking Carlos Alcaraz for granted. He’s the greatest prospect since the Big 3. He’s not even legal in the USA and already the sixth-most accomplished player of the century. He’s still learning. Cut him some slack?
The Australian Open YouTube Page is churning out 8 min extended highlights of every single match. They did this last year as well. That’s Good. French Open & Wimbledon really need to take notes.
The Best 3 Male Players in the World
Novak Djokovic: Statistically Greatest Player born in the 1980s
Daniil Medvedev: Statistically Greatest Player born in the 1990s
Carlos Alcaraz: Statistically Greatest Player born in the 2000s
Frances Tiafoe is so good for tennis. Entertainment with a capital E, whilst being respectful and not crossing the line with his behavior. Could bring so many new casual fans. Real star power.
Iga Swiatek has a great personality. She’s an introvert at heart & has done a great job of being a leader & dominant

. Her awesome tennis speaks for itself. No change needed. I wouldn’t want her to become a demonstrative character just to please ppl by being someone she isn’t.
Naomi won 4 of the 6 Hard Court Majors from 2018 US Open to the 2021 Australian Open, all between the age of 20 and 23. Like she was that girl (on hard courts) fr.
Nobody deserved to lose that. Tennis won tonight. That was an unforgettable final from both. Somehow surpassed last year which I didn’t think was possible.
Based on the last 8 Majors played, Casper Ruud either loses in R2 or he gets to the final
2021 USO - R2
2022 AO - W/D
2022 RG - Final
2022 Wimbledon - R2
2022 USO - Final
2023 AO - R2
2023 RG - Final
2023 Wimbledon - R2
2023 USO - 👀
Krejcikova/Siniakova are the only team in Women’s Doubles History to have together won the WTA Finals, Olympic Gold, and all 4 majors. That is an astonishing feat that deserves praise.

✅ 2017: At 35 years old and after 6 months without playing, Federer returned from injury & won 3 titles with a 20-1 record
✅ 2022: At the age of 35 and after 6 months without playing, Nadal returned from injury & won 3 titles with a 20-1 record
Andy Murray into his 70th ATP Final and his 2nd of 2022 & 3rd with a metal hip. He’s back inside the Top 50.
Since October Indian Wells he’s beaten:
Alcaraz
Tsitsipas
Sinner
Hurkacz
Shapovalov
Opelka
Goffin
Basilashvili 2x
Bublik
Tiafoe
Thiem
Kyrgios
Nakashima
The mom speaks in Russian constantly. The dad speaks in Greek constantly. Meanwhile Stefanos is left distracted, highly stressed, & frustrated. It becomes a big talking point in basically every big match of consequence. It’s hurting more than helping, even tho he’s a top 5 guy.
Tsitsipas made some good points here and did so in a calm way without being abusive to the umpire. Either penalize everyone the same way or don’t have the rule at all.
My main takeaway from the US Open is that we have a really strong deserving WTA Top 8 all pushing each other and improving. This is really great to see.
On the ATP, we do have a strong top three. The rest have quite a bit of work to do to make up the gap & get reliably better.
If Wawrinka (oldest man in draw) beats Etcheverry, he will be in R3
Mensik (youngest man in draw) will turn 18 when he takes on Taylor Fritz in R3
The age difference between Wawrinka and Mensik is 20 Years, 157 days.
Wow, that is more than the current age of Carlos Alcaraz!
Roger Federer still the only player in tennis history to win 5 consecutive Titles at 2 different majors
Wimbledon: 2003-2007
Us Open: 2004-2008
He reached the Wimbledon Final in 2008 (40 consecutive wins)
He reached the US Open Final in 2009 (40 consecutive wins)
Iga Swiatek’s Personality
- Wins in dominant fashion & has a killer instinct
- Reads a plethora of books
- Does Puzzles/Sudoku to sharpen her brain
- Normalizes crying and any emotion
- Introvert & fine not being in the spotlight
- ❤️Tiramisu & Pizza
- Biggest Nadal fan
Since 2011, every non-Federer Halle Champion has gone on to lose R1 at Wimbledon. 6 in a row!
2011 - Phillipp Kohlschreiber
2012 - Tommy Haas
2016 - Florian Mayer
2018 - Borna Coric
2021 - Ugo Humbert
2022 - Hubert Hurkacz
