I think the concern with this is the blessing is for two people in an unrepentant state of sin. A same-sex couple seems by definition to be in an unrepentant state of sin for the very fact that they are a same sex couple who intend to continue being a same-sex couple.

@Catholic_bro
Bro, it’s not fake, bro; it’s just changed in a way that makes it look different than how it looks in reality. It’s *enhanced*, bro. It’s a serpent. Obviously. That’s the most logical explanation—the only explanation actually. If you can’t see it you support child rapists. /s
MODERN DAY PHARISEES
This might be a controversial take, but here we go:
I think the Pharisees of Jesus' time would have been the ones wearing ashes on Ash Wednesday, but I think the Pharisees of our time are the ones who condemn wearing ashes on Ash Wednesday. Why?
Well…
@McClureShawn
@wendelltalks
You didn’t answer his question.
How do you JUSTIFY morality?
In other words, if God does not exist, why think that we have any moral obligations to do anything? Who or what imposes these moral duties upon us? Where do they come from? It’s hard to see why they would be…
@godlywomanhood
It's absolutely true that repentance does not = virtue.
Virtue is cultivated over time, degree by degree, with much cooperative effort and the help of grace given by God.
What are the odds that Luther’s “faith alone” idea was the product of a sin-darkened intellect, and the 1500 years of people who came before him weren’t actually wrong?
There’s no moral reason to protect people and make the world a safe place unless you say all humans have an inherent dignity and worth to them (imago dei).
And then you’re right back to the very religion you want to reject.
“So wait, was Jesus Jewish or was he a Christian?”
“You see Tucker, in order to understand the true religion of Jesus Of Nazareth, we must first talk about the beginning when the Word was God, and the Word was with God…”
WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE CHOSEN?
A few things I've heard/seen people point out:
--Jesus rehearses his Sermon on the Mount to Matthew, and struggles to find the right words. Are we to believe that Jesus didn't already know what He came to say and needed to rehearse first? Are we to…
MOST HARDENED SINNERS CAN'T REPENT
The woman in the clip below has embezzled almost a quarter million dollars from her employer to subsidize a gambling habit she has, and also had multiple affairs with other men after she found out her husband was sleeping around on her.
She…
SATAN'S FAVORITE BIBLE STORY IS THE THIEF ON THE CROSS
Why?
Because it has been used (perhaps inadvertently) to lead so many people to think that the way they live out their faith isn't really important.
After all, it's "faith alone" that saves, right?
But as with most…
In Biblically ordered households, the father is the head of the family.
If you try to structure things any other way, your family will eventually, somehow or other, fall prey to chaos, conflict, and sin.
HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF THE WORD THEONOMY?
It's a concept that suggests that the laws and principles governing a society should be derived from and aligned with religious or divine sources, and religious authorities often play a significant role in shaping and enforcing these…
THREE TERRIFYING TRUTHS FROM JOB 1:6
1) There are angels, both good and bad, and they are interested in the affairs of men.
2) The affairs of earth are much the subject of the counsels of the unseen world, to which we lie open, though that world is in a great measure concealed…
IS THIS STILL FAITH ALONE?
An OnlyFans star, a married gay Pastor, and an abortion apologist all genuinely believe in Jesus Christ.
Before you scream “Repent!!” in your best John the Baptist voice at them though, you should know this:
They either see nothing wrong or sinful…
Using someone’s preferred pronouns is a form of idol worship.
It rejects the idea that it is God who makes us male and female, and it requires us to bow before the prideful sinner by acknowledging they are not what God has made them.
A response to such should be: Repent/Now.
@Goodtweet_man
@scovell222
As per St. Augustine, "the repentance which is sought from a sick man is infirm".
Don't get me wrong, sinners can feel convinced at the evil they've done. But they will not be able to detest sin after living a sin-filled life; they will only wish they could.
After all, sin…
@BenZeisloft
If states can prosecute the murder of a pregnant woman as two homicides, then not prosecuting women who have abortions is inconsistent at best.
“Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
Man cannot fight a demonic lion without prayer.
By all means pursue the cultivation of masculinity, but do not neglect to pray.
DEMONIC POSSESSION DOESN'T WORK THE WAY YOU THINK IT DOES
This scene from the recent movie Nefarious does a fantastic job explaining it in a more realistic way.
Possession is also way more common than you'd think.
Call me old-fashioned but:
—bearded women belong in the circus
—gay marriage isn’t really marriage (it’s an abomination)
—crying isn’t masculine
—women don’t belong in politics
—discipline is freedom
—you’re not trans; you’re mentally & spiritually sick
—Christ is Lord
WHY DID GOD TAKE ADAM'S "RIB"?
In the Bible, the Hebrew word used for rib is tsela but it doesn't actually mean rib. It's really a construction / architectural term that means "side".
For example, the very next place in the Bible where that word is used is in Exodus regarding…
DO NOT LET THE SHAME OF YOUR PAST SINS PREVENT YOU FROM WITNESSING TO THE POWER OF CHRIST’S SAVING GRACE.
The “worse” your sinful past was, the more powerful your witness can be.
Part of what makes His grace “amazing” is, after all, that it saves even “wretches”.
@William_E_Wolfe
It doesn’t seem to be unanimous that Solzhenitsyn was the man behind the quote, but either way,
@TZSA_
it seems like this is similar to things you’ve said about this incident and would agree with the sentiment behind it
If a woman takes a pill, and it prevents a fertilized egg from implanting…that’s still abortion.
Don’t fall for word games played by godless libs.
Life begins at CONCEPTION.
History is full of stories where a person’s bad habits had them in a chokehold, and when they tried to break free, those vices just laughed and said, ‘We’re still here, buddy!’
And speaking of the idea that you can say, ‘Just this one time, I’ll let my desires run wild’ – let’s…
Do you know why God asked Adam "Where are you?" after he ate the fruit?
It wasn't because God didn't know where Adam was. Obviously God knew where Adam was.
Rather, it was to admonish Adam to reflect on where he was so as to realize he was no longer with God, that God was not…
@DaRumbling
As devastating as it might be, someone needs to help him hear the clarion call that sounds for him to now step up and bring them back.
He needs to remember all are called to repent, and Christ would be just as happy if they do it now than if they feared Him from the first.…
THIS IMAGE SHOULDN'T BE CONTROVERSIAL
If your Christian beliefs include the idea that Jesus sacrificing himself on the cross was a sign of weakness and not one of unfathomable strength and love, you have lost the plot.
Does anyone have any recommended reading on where the Protestant rejection of purgatory started?
I'm asking because Luther accepted it:
"The existence of a purgatory I have never denied. I still hold that it exists, as I have written and admitted many times, though I have…
LOOKING AT PORN ISN'T MASCULINE
Great clip from
@robbystarbuck
and
@LandonStarbuck
's new movie The War On Children.
Here Robby talks about how we've seemingly not only dropped any stigma when it comes to porn but somehow view it as empowering.
Strict immigration policies and strong national borders are compatible with Christianity.
Arguing otherwise is ignorant at best, manipulative and bad-faith at worst.
Sex is never so good as when it’s preceded by a period of abstinence; food by fasting; music by silence.
True pleasure and deep enjoyment is found not in unconstrained, hedonistic indulgence but in measured, prudent, balanced temperance.
The mentally (spiritually) ill and demonically possessed should not be reading to children.
But how did it get to this point?
Tolerance and lukewarmness.
Sin *needs* to be called out for what it is, not accepted and whitewashed.
This is tragic, perverse, and horrific.
@GotzaMotza
Sadly many Protestants are indifferent to caring about truth if it doesn’t serve an agenda that isn’t Christian but rather anti-Catholic.
It’s sort of like how some atheists, not all, are anti-religion, and they work to destroy, criticize, and promote their agenda.
How many of these common sayings did you know actually come from the Bible?
And did I miss any?
Scapegoat.
Scandal.
Rise and shine.
Fall from grace.
Cast the first stone.
Jezebel.
Be a man.
Behemoth.
Spare the rod, spoil the child.
Pride comes before the fall.
For everything…
The LGBTQ community won’t have a good answer to anyone asking how the stress response would somehow be borne of social conditioning, but SSA conveniently somehow isn’t.
Regardless, homosexuality is not compatible with Christianity.
THE FOLLOWING SHOULD NOT BE CONTROVERSIAL
Not everyone who repents / has been saved will make a good marriage partner.
In fact, when choosing a spouse, you should absolutely take their past into consideration.
BUT...understanding this as or equating it as being the same as…
“Jesus would respect they/them pronouns.”
No He wouldn’t. As a matter of fact, the last time He encountered someone who used plural pronouns, He performed an exorcism on “them” resulting in the death of about 2,000 swine.
You know that SIN BEGETS SIN, but do you know WHY?
God created the human brain to be "plastic". This concept, known as brain plasticity, is where repeated behaviors strengthen neural connection pathways.
If you don't know what a neural connection pathway is, imagine your brain…
Christianity isn't really compatible with much of the red pill. Many Christian men have trouble understanding that.
Joseph is a good role model to have though. Why?
Picture this: Joseph, a man deeply in love, suddenly hit by the shocking revelation that his betrothed, Mary,…
This type of nonsense is infuriating.
Yes, virginity is wonderful and it’s a gift for your spouse.
But if you erred in your youth, you have forgiveness in Christ. We either believe this or we don’t.
You don’t have to marry a non virgin if you don’t want to.
But we also don’t…
