I hate to do it, but. Hi, crusade historian here. The Crusades were 700 years of military campaigns to seize the Holy Land, Spain, areas in the Balkans and Baltic, and campaigns in the Mediterranean. They were not defensive, and the Muslims weren't destroying relics.

Can there be Black elves and dwarves and halflings in the Second Age? Absolutely. These characters aren't in the books, because the series in appendix based fan fiction. This is only a disservice to "lore" if you require an all white Middle Earth. That's a YOU problem.

I don't think Ukraine is winning. I think Russia thought they would have already won, and every delay in that victory brings the possibility that internal and external pressure on Putin can save Ukraine.

Twitter seems to have convinced itself that Ukraine is winning this thing. The Russians are advancing in the south at a rate faster than the Wehrmacht in Barbarossa and I just read about a breakthrough north of Mariupol joining the forces coming out of Ukraine. This isn't good.

The Allen shooter is an excellent example of why Nazism should be banned, literally criminalized in every way, why every Nazi symbol and salute and idea and speech is hate speech by virtue of its existence, and why neo Nazi groups should be banned in America.
