Stop worrying about rankings or lack of offers. Improve your game, get in the gym as much as possible and put in the work. If you are talented, they will find you.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
I’m pleased to announce the launch of The Hoop Vibe.
As the founder, I will be providing high level scouting, recruiting knowledge and professionally run events.
Website coming soon…
I’m announcing the next step in my journey.
Attached are some of my favorite pictures I took over the years covering HS hoops. This won’t be the end of my work there. Read below 👇
Basketball is supposed to be about fun, getting better & everything that comes with that. Lately I’ve seen so much selfishness on the court. There is a systemic problem & we need to teach our kids to respect the game. Fighting in games should never happen. Nothing gained from it.
You can look like a high major talent in an edited mixtape but when you hit the court there are many attributes that matter.
Do you play hard?
Do you have good body language?
Are you a good teammate?
Are you coachable?
Do you run back or walk/jog?
Do you make hustle plays?
If kids or programs want to be upset about rankings or season predictions go right ahead. I’m here to help kids get noticed by college coaches and get them scholarships year round. That is much more important than a simple number on a page or a prediction.
#TuesdayThoughts
The amount of stars and where you are in the rankings hasn’t ever mattered to me. If a kid can flat out play then he deserves to be written about and looked at by colleges. I’m always here to help in that regard.
#FridayFeeling
Basketball is much more than a mixtape with a lot of views. It is about the will to win, leadership, shooting ability, effort, body language, unselfishness, IQ and so much more.
Watching a prospect in person will never replace a simple YouTube mixtape.
#SundayMotivation
It’s still early in the summer, but a lesson for parents during AAU season can be learned already. Please stop blaming the referees for every single thing. Worry about basketball, your kid and your team. Just motivate your kid and help them play the right way.

Social media tips for athletes.

Congrats to all nine state boys 🏀 champions.

ATTENTION HS PROSPECTS:
If you plan on transferring from your school, make sure you sit down with your coach and have a real conversation. Don’t just transfer by not telling them in person or just texting them. Most coaches work hard for kids. A conversation goes a long way.

G Kur Teng (Michigan State commit) was red hot in a win over Austin Rivers SE Elite. 27 points on some impressive shots over defenders in his face and his own creation. Gifted athlete.
With the

state tournament over (21 games), it is time to look back at a great 2019-20 season. I covered 165 games and 149 different teams in total. That surpasses the numbers from last year for me. It's all about helping these kids get maximum exposure.

Don’t tweet hateful things, curse, retweet derogatory contact, etc.
You never know who is reading your tweets. All of these factors weigh into college coaches ultimately bringing you in.

Be loyal to the people that are true and authentic with you. You only need a small quality few around you to trust and bounce ideas off of. It will go a long way in life.

During June Team Camp month, I covered 115 total games. For anyone who thinks once high school season ends or AAU is not going on that there is no basketball, think again. There is a lot to be learned from this month and I saw a lot of great talent all across Florida.

To anyone who says basketball is not a year round sport is absolutely wrong. I’ve covered roughly 130 games between college camps, summer leagues and international ball just in June. Keep putting in the work. It doesn’t go unnoticed.

Fears is a shifty guard with crafty finishing ability and a ton of confidence. The kid is a winner. Highly impressed with his composure/fierceness.

Hats off to all teams. It was a season like no other with the pandemic. I managed to see 75 total games and 91 teams over the regular season and playoffs. Not the normal numbers. But happy to help as many programs and kids as possible. 2021-22 should be fun!

Just because you played varsity basketball and averaged 10 PPG it more does not mean you are automatically a college player. There’s a lot more to it. What do you do that is special? What do you bring to the table as a teammate? Sharpen your skills.
