Those of us who take inspiration from Mr Jinnah, please keep fighting. No matter what the fight, neurosurgery or no neurosurgery. Jinnah fought on and lived his convictions, despite consumption and he was 30 years older than I am today.
I'm so grateful I've gotten yet another chance to beat my brain tumour. Thank you, Dr Athar Enam and Aga Khan Karachi for a skillful awake craniotomy procedure. To family & friends for their endless prayers. May you and yours stay safe. This is me crawling back into words:
Pakistan sent its first satellite into Space in 1963 long before India. But then we allowed Mullahs to run amok in this country. In 1963 Salam was the head of SUPARCO. Now someone like him wouldn't be allowed in the country.
Imran Khan’s first order to PM House staff was to bring a detail of expenditure by Nawaz Sharif as PM. Poor guy was then told that NS paid from his own pocket. He didn’t believe it. Was shown cheques. Ha ha.
Hamid Mir: “If Pakistan’s journalists can defeat powerful dictators like General Musharraf, they can defeat fake democracies too.”

After becoming Governor General of Pakistan Jinnah maintained his citizenship of India. Just FYI. He was planning on going home and retiring in Bombay.
I was going to vote for PPP on 25th July even though they were going to lose badly from constituency. However now I have decided to vote for
#PMLN
after this decision. Vote for PMLN. I have never voted for PMLN considering it a terrible party. But now I might join it as well.
I am really worried about Nadia Chaudhry. She is my client and has potentially damning evidence against PTI leadership. Just before she went missing she called me and I told her I would be right there but then she went incognito. Really worried what is going on. Smell a PTI 🐀.
Watching PM
@ImranKhanPTI
hold back his tears during Rahat’s song was a moving moment. The ever young and handsome PM has suddenly aged so much. This shows his commitment to Pakistan all differences aside.
I fought for Jinnah’s Pakistan for two decades through writings, two books on Jinnah, through constitutional cases etc but I am getting tired. My soul wishes to live in a truly free and secular society. I am seriously considering Hijrat from this hopeless place sadly.
Happiest day of my life today. 15 years ago today I married the most amazing woman on the planet and 15 years later we are still going strong. Sorry for the mushy post.
Pakistan reserves the office of President Prime Minister for Muslims only, Pakistan persecutes religious minorities worse than any other democracy. And you are worried about India?
Corruption is when you give lawyers' bodies 175 million rupees just to win over their support. Where do you think this money goes? 13 years of practice and I haven't seen a single good thing come out of the lawyers' bodies honestly.
Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating, especially Ahmadis - who need I remind you, are forcibly stopped from celebrating this Eid by law enforcement agencies. Eid is for everyone.
Pakistan owes so much to Ahmadis, whether you want to admit it or not. Jinnah depended on them so much during creation of the country. And it was the Ahmadis who were always there, first on the scene the Furqan Battalion in Kashmir. It was an Ahmadi who got you UN Resolutions con
To PTI wallahs who love to compare their leader to Mr Jinnah should know that despite being the busiest lawyer in British India Jinnah’s attendance of the Central Legislature was 100 percent. Meanwhile Imran Khan has nothing else to do and yet his attendance is 5 percent. Shame.
Not concerned about PM houses and Governor houses etc etc. My concern is when
@ImranKhanPTI
will make the corps commander in Lahore vacate Jinnah House in Cantt and make it a museum and research institute on the founding father’s life or even a university or think tank?
If
@ImranKhanPTI
now stands by principle and crushes these rioting Mullahs, I will stop criticising PTI altogether. Come on be the Prime Minister I once wanted you to be sir.
A very impressive and statesmanlike speech. I am still not convinced given what we have seen over the years. However I pray that
@ImranKhanPTI
is serious about his pledges and stands by Pakistan and its people especially minorities.
I apologise profusely for a tweet yesterday about IK made in anger in which I called
@ImranKhanPTI
a kutay ka bacha. Dogs are gentle loving creatures. Puppies are cute. Imran Khan is more like a disgusting rat who is infesting Pakistan with the plague. Apologies to dogs.
I have opposed
@ImranKhanPTI
but he is Prime Minister now. Every step he takes towards Jinnah, he will find me following him. Emulate Jinnah. Attend a Christian Church Service like Jinnah did. Solidarity. Progressive Pakistan. PTI Zindabad. Pakistan paindabad.

Real age difference between
@ImranKhanPTI
and
@BBhuttoZardari
37 years. Mental age difference? BBZ is about a 100 years older in sense and maturity. What kind of 67 year old makes fun of someone much less than half his age in this manner?
Interestingly India had started a Business Advisory Council about two decades ago. Guess who was the member. Nusli Wadia. His grandfather was Quaid e Azam Jinnah.
PTI apologists please do explain to us how Umar Cheema could predict the names of Nikah khawans witnesses and attendees a whole month and a half ago. And now where do the emotional denials by Manekas stand. This is a shameless power play by disgusting people.
The only 28 May I remember is the massacre of 86 Ahmadis who were killed by militants in Lahore. Nuclear weapons be damned - we cannot even protect our own people from the plague of discrimination.
PPP is probably not going to win. Perhaps Jibran will lose also. But what
@BBhuttoZardari
and
@MJibranNasir
have done in this election is going to one day restore Jinnah's Pakistan.
I criticise the Army in its role in politics. I criticise the deep state and have done so openly everywhere. But one thing I will not appreciate is disrespect to the ordinary jawan. Whatever the faults it is our Army. No one should push and shove our soldiers around.
At Harvard Law School there is actually a course partly designed around Pakistan’s blasphemy laws including anti Ahmadi laws to show how countries go disastrously wrong in misinterpreting religion and legislating on that basis.
As a Lahori and a Punjabi I completely endorse the idea that Punjab should be cut up not just in two provinces but more. It is too big and unwieldy and only skews our federalism. Seraikis deserve a province of their own. Let them have it.
Btw I know that
@ImranKhanPTI
Sb you don’t like history, but even so it wasn’t Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (RA) who made the statement about the thirsty dog.
It was Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz. Don’t know the diff? Then stop talking about it.
I always knew
@ImranKhanPTI
was going to be selected as PM by the deep state. What I did not know was to what extent the establishment would go to get him elected. In the process they have made an utter mockery of the election process.
Just because I speak for the human rights of Ahmadis in Pakistan, people automatically assume I am Ahmadi. On the contrary it is the duty of every Pakistani who wants to see Pakistan a progressive state to stand up for the rights of those who are oppressed here.
Just heard
@ImranKhanPTI
's speech at Saudi Investment Conference. It has to rank as the most idiotic, third rate speech/interview/talk by any Prime Minister of Pakistan at any international forum in our history. And that by the way is a rather sad reflection on the man.
History will remember
@imrankhanpti
’s incredible gesture. Pakistan has won on all counts. Releasing the Indian pilot is a mighty gesture and generosity of the highest order.
Justice Athar Minallah has shown what a judge with the courage to do justice can amount to. A well deserved victory for Khawaja Haris. I am sure the final decision will also be in Nawaz Sharif’s favour.
I can’t believe I am going to tweet this. But I for one am glad that we have a fighter like
@ImranKhanPTI
at the helm. I see the old Imran Khan of the Pakistan cricket team emerging. Heraclius like (not Hercules two different figures). Qadam Barhao Imran Khan hum tumharay saath!
This has to be the most ridiculous trend ever:
#BoycottDawnIndian
... dear Idiots Dawn is Jinnah’s own paper and his greatest legacy. If you want to boycott it also boycott Jinnah.
Now PMLN is doing its dirty politics on Atif Mian's religious beliefs. Have some shame at long last. We stood with you when PTI was doing it. Now we will stand against you. Shameful politics.
This idea of speaking in Urdu at the UN is populism at its worst btw. Half the people in the GA don't even bother to put on the translation headphones. A speech in English is not easy to ignore. So extremely ridiculous of this idiotic government and its FM to speak in Urdu.
What the Islamabad High Court has done is the lowest point in our history. I call upon every Pakistani who still believes in Jinnah’s Pakistan to stand up right now and resist or we have lost our country forever.
Complete media silence on
#RehamKhanAutobiography
book despite damning revelations about Prime Minister Select. Nothing must stand in the way of Prime Minister Select’s way.
Great to see PPP giving tickets to Hindus on General Seats. This is what is needed. Well done PPP. At least I will vote for your candidate whoever that maybe.

What the hell is the election commission doing? Hate speech rampant. Minorities are being targeted. Young and brilliant men like
@MJibranNasir
are being targeted by mosques 🕌. What is the Caretaker government doing? What is the Army doing? Seems like everyone is complicit.
Sir Zafrullah Khan at the funeral of his leader Quaid e Azam. He was not allowed to join the congregation by Shabbir Usmani. But he was there. Meanwhile the Maududian Mullahs who point this out refused to even attend the funeral of the founder of our country.
Why can’t a Pakistani citizen who is a Christian or a Hindu not dream of becoming the president or prime minister? This is the worst kind of discrimination.
There is a whole generation of Pakistanis who have never seen Pakistan win a medal at the Olympics. Religious extremism se faraghat ho tau kuch ho na. I suppose I am lucky to have seen Pakistan Hockey Team in its heyday and Pakistan’s medals at the Olympics.
People read the agreement. There is no surrender here. 1. Review is a constitutional right. Won’t be accepted. Read grounds of review. 2. Initiating legal proceedings means nothing at all. No ECL here. MoI is not going to fold. Rest is useless. Mullahs have been defeated.
I have read the agreement again and again. Lol. The Mullahs are so stupid. Well done Government. The PTI govt didn’t back down at all. Read the conditions again.
In one of her TV appearances Cynthia Ritchie praises the Taliban and says she has accepted the Taliban govt and that they are the good guys. Can we please send her to Afghanistan to promote Taliban’s soft image please, pretty please 🙏.
Jinnah was a card carrying Shia. He paid his dues as a Shia. His wife is buried in Bombay in the Khoja Shia graveyard. His sister held a separate funeral led by a Shia Imam. These facts of history. Calling me a Shia won't change the facts.
Don’t give the NRO to Khadim Rizvi. Don’t make him another Sufi Muhammad. Try him under Article 6. File a case against him for High Treason. And do the needful. Enough evidence is available.

There is absolutely no evidence for the claim that Khurram Dastagir Khan’s father at any point insulted Fatima Jinnah. The lantern dog incident happened in Karachi and it was Gohar Ayub who was responsible.
News for our minister for parliamentary affairs Ali Muhammad Khan - Jinnah considered Ahmadis Muslims and appointed one of them as Pakistan’s foreign minister.
Seen in Jeddah Saudi Arabia a Tasbeeh counter with the name Khatim ul Tasbeeh ... means apparently the perfect Tasbeeh. Clearly the Ahmadis are not that off the mark for interpreting the word as perfection. A purely jurisprudential point.
Just read Punjab Govt’s lockdown order. Was very intrigued to see that while shrines and mazaars in most cities have been shut down, Pak Pattan has been exempted. Now I wonder why that is?
Since this is Kashmir Day this is an annual reminder. It was Sir Zafrullah Khan who got Pakistan the UN Resolutions which still remain the basis on which you claim Kashmir. SZK was an Ahmedi.
A reminder: the name/dynasty argument was first used by Ayub Khan against Fatima Jinnah. He said FJ’s only qualification was that she was Jinnah’s sister. Familiar?
Happy birthday Sir Zafrullah Khan, barrister, diplomat, judge and one of Pakistan’s founding fathers. Pakistan’s greatest foreign minister. The man Jinnah called his son.
By undoing Salam’s name Pakistan has not demeaned Salam who is world renowned. No it has demeaned itself by showing the world that Khadim Rizvis can dictate policy. Shame on those who don’t have a backbone to stand up to such nonsense.
Jinnah was attacked abused called Kafir e Azam but he did not expel Ahmadis from the Muslim League or remove Zafrullah Khan from FM position. Not just Jinnah but also Liaquat and Nazimuddin also.
@ImranKhanPTI
?
I know I was feeling defeatist yesterday but this is the only country we have. We must save it from the Mullahs and their backers. We owe it to ourselves. To hell with those who signed the agreement. Let us stand up and be counted. I am going to fight. I hope you do too.
