This is Manchester City's 22 man squad. Two players per position. A 3rd goalkeeper will be added and probably two PL2 players promoted to make the 25 man squad. This squad will play a minimum 46 games. In the PSL, where average games are less than 40, teams have squads of 35-40.

Hugo Broos is at an age where he doesn't care if he gets fired. He won AFCON with Cameroon despite some of their biggest stars pulling out just before the squad announcement. He didn't hold back when condemning the players. We value club allegiances more than Bafana. He doesn't.

Watching Sundowns filled me with mixed emotions. On one hand I was sad that they're so far ahead of us with their game model and repeated patterns of play that generated clear scoring chances for them. On the other hand, it gave me hope that a local team can play at that level.

Kurt Lentjies started the season as a player for Chippa United. When Gavin Hunt was fired in November, he was appointed Caretaker Coach. He has saved the team from relegation with a game to go. Now he is able to give himself a proper send off into retirement. Fantastic👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

I often think of a version of Teko Modise who had gone to the School of Excellence. A Themba Zwane who had been developed in the Ajax Cape Town system. Talent alone is not enough. Quinton Fortune, Schillo, Benni, Cream didn't get to UEFA Champions League teams on talent alone.

The PSL clowns too much. A Chiefs v Sundowns game needs to be afforded the same respect as the Soweto derby. It needs to be played at a time when the maximum number of people can watch it live without being inconvenienced. That means Saturdays at 15h30. Not midweek or at night.

Rule of thumb: Only speak against Hugo Broos once failure is confirmed. The madala does things his own way, with his preferred players. He won AFCON with Cameroon after dropping their star players. He took Bafana to AFCON with Mobbie as his starting RB against public opinion.

Khanyisa Mayo is not a centre forward. He's an excellent goalscorer who has suffered the fate of many South African forwards who got switched to centre forward after scoring a lot of goals from wide or deep. He doesn't have the physique or turn of pace to run in behind at CF.

To understand why our development sides matter so much to Kaizer Jr is to understand the history of Chiefs. The club has never been big on building their squads through the market. Young players have been a big part of our squad building, supplemented by exceptional acquisitions.

Tau gets the ball just outside the box. The dead-on-their-feet Tunisian players don't bother to press him. With Makgopa and Maseko in the box, he chooses to pass the ball back with no one even bothering to close him down. This strategy is ass!😭😭😭

Ndlondlo in a double pivot is the kind of cheat code I was hoping our neighbours wouldn't dare try. He gives Pirates the freedom to ditch the double 10 and go with three out-and-out forwards as he's a both a conductor and a creator. Damit!!! 😡
