something from the archive when testing enemies reacting to things in battle. slightly outdated ui. apologies for the audio i wasnt using obs or whatever
To everyone who believed in us, thank you. Like honestly thank you so much. I still don’t think it would have gotten this far without support, and even though we aren’t really able to finish it, I think all of us have at least have learned a lot making this game.
The good news is that I (
@Mechazawa
) have all of the code I wrote up for it on GitHub. You are absolutely free to take a look because outside of assets that were imported and I don’t have license to redistribute, everything is here.
Sorry for the lack of actual new updates we're working on things that don't have visuals to show off but do not worry we're Working Hard on The Videos Games
With the license I picked you’re allowed to also make use of whatever you want in here. It’s a version from 2022 when there was only me authoring the code for the sake of simplicity (not much was added in the past year bc... basically everything was done code wise)
We may make a build at a later date to refine what we have a little more and have something that can be playable, but it’ll be more like a sandbox rather than the curated experience we were going for.
really good game my preschool friend Davis and I were playing it when we were 4 way back when and probably shouldnt have bc its an m rated game and thats when the incident happened ^_^ nobody has seen him sicne and that never sat right with me
The Golden Girls 64 review (N64): What is there that hasn't already been said about this game? Absolutely seminal. Its four-player deathmatches — remarkably, a last-minute addition before the game went gold — led to some of the best multiplayer memories we have for any system.
Hey There Geeks and Gamers!
We wanna get a better idea of those interested in TGGTMDX, your histories with the JRPG genre and how we can make the game as accessible as possible!
Please check out this form so we can make the game as best it can be!
TLDR doing our best to get this game done asap bc I need to make sure I can start learning other tools since I use Unity for my actual day job as well and I kind of don’t trust Unity as a company to treat its devs with any respect after all this, even with their half backpedaling
Sorry for using the game account to post this when I already Bitched about it on main I thought I’d also give my thoughts on the matter here because we’re kind of in a unique position of trying to make, at the very least, something a bit polished but also not for profit
randomly remembered this UI element and how it does actually have notifications. if youve ever wondered why theres a semi transparent bar at the top of some videos thats why lol
We’re not planning on selling it so we wouldn’t hit that revenue threshold but me (Chris
@Mechazawa
) am gonna need to pay more out of pocket because they’re dropping Unity Plus and forcing everyone to get Unity Pro. Plus is $35/mo. Pro is $185/mo.
Just a heads up since there's been a bit of a miscommunication on different outlets reporting about the game: Joey is absolutely helping as a tech art lead and other forms of organization but the project is led by Chris
@Mechazawa
first and foremost!
I did not invent this game idea with Chris. In fact I met Chris because many years ago he did an open call on twitter for dev help. We've been working together ever since, even on other alternative game/contract projects. But the core original idea is to his credit!!!
I think we can still get away with only using Unity Personal if push comes to shove but I’d need to find things for version control elsewhere + any other services I was using with Plus, I Can’t Anymore.
@Strain42
@Mechazawa
I’d have to talk it over with everyone because the instant money were to Ever get involved I’d wanna have a discussion but I feel like the only thing I’d ask for money for if I ever did was to recoup costs for how much I’ve paid Unity over the years
