Here is another critter ive designed for @daszombes latest video! Despite the name, corpse flies are actually necrophagic butterflies that can swarm in large groups around decomposing animals. They can get a little overzealous when approached - so keep your distance!

Phtanum B - Deuvertebrates make noises, just like earthly animals. But how would they sound like? Due to the structure of their lungs and trachea, the β€žroarβ€œ of a giant lactismid sounds like a booming electric trumpet, whereas those of smaller lactismids sound like squeals.

Phtanum B - Three new deuvertebrates! The Reedhead imitates a blade of grass swaying in the wind with itβ€˜s long neck, feeding on plant sap. The Fatlung is a large vampiric carnivore and the Rumbler is a large predatory flattener lactismid, rumbling the ground as it approaches.

Phtanum B - Stormcoast Forest! A new biome within the outer stormwall, in eternal twilight. Astrapazoa - also known as harvester trees, attract lightning and flash in bright colors as chemical reactions in their insides take place. These are technicolor death winds.

Phtanum B - Though rare, bipedal deuvertebrates roam this super-earth. The monolithical Towerman, not smarter than a rhinoceros, probes the ground and trees for edible trinkets. Its smaller relative, the Little Devil, is a brutal predator despite being only the size of a child.

Phtanum - You have seen the planets of the Phtanum system, but what about the moons? This hot red metallic chunk is Caomei. Orbiting Phtanum closely, tidal forces heat it up to the point of glowing. It casts a soft, red light after nightfall.. but is otherwise harmless.
