Today we voted for House Bill 5 to expand access to broadband. Some 900,000 Texans are unserved by broadband, making it more difficult to learn and fully participate in our economy. Itโs important to close the digital divide in Texas.

Proposition 9 would authorize the current 88th Legislature to provide a cost-of-living adjustment to certain annuitants of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas. The legislature has appropriated $3.355 billion to fund the cost-of-living adjustment.
