#xspoilers The perfect philosophical conclusion of X-Men Red. Vulcan’s power & ego-obsessed, fragile masculinity came too late in the evolution of Arrakko, a society that has now survived THREE fascist strongmen figures through the collective & shared resource of mutant powers.

For those counting: Tarn, Uranos, Vulcan. Brand doesn’t fit this trope as she was the shadowy orchestrator who tried to manipulate the megalomaniacal tendencies of these men for her own gain. She looked down on & dismissed Arrakko & paid the price. She should have dug deeper.

@stealthisplanet I can accept this conclusion. Storm by normal means cannot defeat Vulcan in combat.

@stealthisplanet This confrontation reminds me of the Ares vs Athena confrontation and the capture of Ares in the vase of the giants, especially since Vulcan is presented as the son of Mars
