@sqanews Awful decision to neither mark nor return coursework for N5s. Schools will not have copies. What about PE where the whole written coursework is 50% of exam, will you just be relying on the practical element? Good for the sporty kids, less so for the academic...

@sqanews This is appalling! Kids have spent hours creating art and design projects and you are going to dump them in the bin without even assessing them?

@sqanews May I ask what role, if any, there will be for PA/DPA/senior marking teams in reaching these decisions? Alternatively, will the decisions be purely statistically based? Thank you.

@sqanews @sqa Rank order for national qualifications? Really? Having been a teacher for 20 years, I have always assured pupils that they will be judged on their own efforts. Will be different this year. Pupils will be disadvantaged this year.

@sqanews I am not sure that this covers placement elements or practical elements.

@sqanews Abnegation of responsibility by the @sqanews , placing burden of deciding final grades on teachers who have already had to move all teaching online with little to no guidance or prep. Mass appeals come August. Disadvantaged pupils will suffer most. Do better @JohnSwinney

@sqanews How totally unfair and unacceptable. Ranking kids and a difficult position for teachers. Surely coursework is the best way to assess a student as the most recent example of how kids are performing. @sqanews got to do better.

@sqanews Nonsense! So basically teachers “integrity” & “professionalism” on students predictions isn’t good enough as you will still adjust the marks...so u get your % of As, Bs, etc ... I hope I’m reading this wrong! Followed by a FREE APPEALS process - everyone will put on for an appeal

@sqanews Could this be a coverup of the “cock up” of removing the units in SQA courses this year so my kid doing Nat5 wasn’t to get the fall back of Nat4, as SQA only recognise POSITIVE ACHIEVEMENT but now the work he’s put in on courseworks won’t even get ANY external recognition! JOKE
