In the last 18 months I was able to donate almost £90,000 to conservation causes and projects through print sales and art donations… Because of YOU!!! Without your encouragement, support, likes, shares (and purchases 😂), there’s no way I’d be doing what I’m doing today and
I am so proud of this elephant chap, who was sold at auction last week in New York for $24,000, all of which will be going towards vital conservation work in Africa.
12 years ago today we held my mum’s hands and said goodbye for this lifetime. 12 years of missed birthdays and weddings and babies and heartbreak and laughter. 💙
Here’s one of my favourite photos of her when she was younger.
Introducing my newest piece, the aptly named ‘Majesty’ (given our recent sad news), 70x100cm acrylic on linen canvas. This is part of my ‘Impermanence’ collection, which will be exhibited in London in November and will be raising vital funds for conservation projects worldwide.
‘Stealth’, 70x100cm acrylic on linen canvas.
We’re supporting a snow leopard safeguarding conservation project through sales of the Impermanence collection, so it would be rude not to include one!
Guess what! This year, because of you guys, I was able to donate just under £50,000 from print sales and auctions to various conservation projects (not including any of the money from the main 2022 Project Fund, which will be distributed early next year)! How awesome is that! ❤️
It was such an honour to receive this AMAZING pangolin trophy, made out of recycled scrap metal by artists in Zimbabwe, for winning the Pollyanna Pickering Award with Artists for Conservation. 💚
Have been very off grid lately in some Kenyan conservancies, learning about how the eco-tourism in the area supports local communities, schools and wildlife 🐘💚
‘Libertas’, 120x85cm acrylic on linen canvas.
‘Libertas’ is Latin for freedom or liberty - a rather fitting name for a species that cannot be held in captivity.
Introducing: Wounda. Her story is inspirational. She fell victim to the illegal pet trade and was brought into a

rehabilitation centre close to death. After receiving care and medical treatment, she made a miraculous recovery and now has a baby boy, Hope. ❤️
Merry stuff and things and a happy new what-sit! And a little reminder to those spending Christmas alone or missing a loved one - it’s literally just a day of the week like any other, so no stress.❤️
A world in which we exhibit animals on plinths like exhibits in a museum is not too far removed from the world we currently live in, where we use animals for fashion, entertainment, food, sport and labour.
I was overwhelmed with the responses from you guys a couple of days ago, when I had a meltdown and painted over most of the leopard that I had been working on. I thought it only fair to share the new and improved face so far... (still some work needed)
Had a lovely morning at the Houses of Parliament in London yesterday for the opening of the ‘On the Brink’ collection (featuring one of my pieces) hosted by
@realafrica
!
It’s happening! My 2022 collection, Impermanence, will be on show at the Oxo Gallery, London, 1-14 November 2022! This collection will be raising money for the project fund that we have set up, to support vital conservation work worldwide.
I’m so honoured to have been awarded the ‘medal of excellence’ by the Artists for Conservation foundation this year. I’m incredibly proud of the work that I do, but am even more grateful for you guys, who make it possible. 🙏🏻❤️
So proud of this chimpy lass, who sold at auction last night and raised £19,500 for the amazing conservation work that
@janegoodalluk
do. It was an incredibly humbling and inspiring evening and has reignited my passion for what I do and why I do it. ❤️
The second commodity is complete! The Commodities collection shines a light on the bizarre use of wildlife and nature for our benefit as humans; be it for meat, entertainment, fur or ivory.
One of the projects being funded through my show in November is the safeguarding of snow leopards and research on the effects of climate change on the species… When I’m feeling burnt out or stressed, it’s a nice little reminder of the bigger picture and the impact on wildlife.
Little bubba rhino all framed up and ready to go to its new home after the

gala and charity auction. 100% of the money raised will be going towards helping rhinos in the wild.

The beginnings of a new collection, a new concept, a new risk. When I started telling people about my idea for the Commodities collection, nobody really understood what the hell I was talking about (or they just flat out told me it was a terrible idea). I may have just been doing
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about when I was a grumpy teenager and would snap at my mum. Silly little things, but when you lose a parent as a teenager, you can’t go back and apologise as an adult. If your parents are still alive, go tell them you love them today, for me. ❤️
Fun fact: I grew up with a severe anxiety disorder called ‘selective mutism”, which manifested in an inability to talk outside of the family home (now I make up for lost time by never shutting up 😎).
Shame on you
@BritishVogue
for glamourising this. Real or fake, encouraging the use of animals as commodities and fashion items and therefore encouraging the poaching and hunting of vulnerable and endangered species… One step too far for the fashion industry.
‘Wounda’ will be going up for auction tomorrow at the Royal Geographical Society, with 100% of the money going towards protecting and rehabilitating chimpanzees through the amazing work that
@janegoodalluk
do. Tickets for the event have now sold out, so it should be a fun night!
‘Broken’, 90x70cm acrylic on cotton canvas. Thank you so much for all of your lovely comments, likes and shares.❤️ This piece will soon be off to America for an auction, where 100% of the money raised will help to protect wildlife in Africa. 🐘
‘Contemplation ii’, acrylic on linen canvas.
My next collection doesn’t really lend itself to a giraffe (you’ll see why 😳), but I’m keen to try and include one somehow, or just paint another one-off piece for the hellofit! 🦒
What a year it’s been! This year was all about planting seeds for the future (and recovering from last year’s workaholism) and seeing a little more of the world. Not as much painting as I’d have liked and far too much procrastination, but hey ho! Let’s see what 2024 brings!
‘Resurgam’, 24x36” on linen.
I initially wanted to creative something evocative, heartbreaking. But there is enough fear & panic in the world, so this idea transmuted into a more hopeful piece. ‘I shall rise again’; I have hope for a restored marine ecosystem, what about you?
I wanted to apologise for being so terrible at posting and responding to comments on here lately, but I’ve been helping to raise, rehabilitate and release orphaned monkeys out here and honestly, I’m not sorry. 😂✌🏼
Next Commodities piece incoming…
I’m off to Kenya tomorrow and it feels like I’m leaving just as I’ve got into the swing of this piece (ain’t that always the way). No doubt by the time I return I would have forgotten how to paint.
I’m not ashamed to say that the most exciting thing that has happened this week is that a group of jays moved into garden, so I’ve mostly been hanging out by the window of my studio with my camera.
Back behind the easel and working on this piece today, after a long weekend away with family. A little time away always gives me itchy fingers to get started again!
I’ve been preparing the studio for my ‘big’ return (mostly entailed procrastinating and moving my easel around a bit). My next collection is somewhat different to my usual vibe and I’m a bit nervous about releasing it into the world, but you guys will look after me I’m sure! 😁
@sophiegreenart
my kids love your art, you’ve inspired them to try and recreate your penguin painting. Paintings by 6 year (top) and 9 year (bottom) 🙂 🎨
It’s been over 3 months since I’ve picked up a paintbrush, so I decided to ease myself back into painting by hand-embellishing this print that I’ve had hanging around the studio.
It’s become somewhat of a tradition for me to make an ‘end of year’ video of all of the pieces that I have painted in a year. Well, this year was a little quieter than most, as I spent a chunk of time in Africa, the Galapagos and central/south America, so here’s a little snippet
Women’s art sells for considerably less, they’re underrepresented in galleries/museums and make up a tiny percentage at art fairs/auctions. The most expensive piece of man-made art dwarfs the most expensive piece of woman-made art by more than $400 MILLION. Not on my watch!
It’s always been a big part of my personality to focus on one specific thing; obsess over it, think about it constantly, perfect it. I believe we all have different passions for a reason and are doing a huge disservice to ourselves and to the world to ignore what brings us joy!
I squeezed in some time, between painting cheetahs, working on a commission and decorating my studio, to paint the third piece in my mini-series; an elephant and her calf.
