There is something so wrong and disturbing about our tolerance of homelessness.
There is so much excess wealth,
It’s -5 degrees and the city of NY is paying armed security to force homeless people out of the station.
They don’t care as long as they aren’t in the heat. I hate it

I live in Canada and we used to not have much homelessness and now we have so many homes sitting empty and so many unhoused. I don’t understand what changed. That’s terrible what is happening there

The whole thing about it is that everyone thinks that it will never happen to them until it does. Many do not have a $1000 to their name which means a layoff= homeless.
