Last season, Gannon was 3-23. Enter Jordan Fee as the Head Coach. The Knights just won the PSAC regular season & tourney titles...and have now won 21 straight and are 32-2, and just won the region to advance to the NCAA DII Elite Eight. One of the greatest turnarounds in sports.

NW MO State guards Diego Bernard & Trevor Hudgins are 97-3 in three years together....and they have not lost a single NCAA Tournament game in their careers, now going 11-0 with 2 National Championships (the 2020 NCAA Tourney was cancelled). Think about those ridiculous numbers.

Bellarmine moved from NCAA DII to NCAA DI this season. The Knights have been a very solid DII program for years & now they've made an immediate impact in DI, as they have won 8 straight & are solely in 1st place in the A-SUN. GLVC & the A-SUN appear competitively similar.

Marietta is now 10-0 on the season. I tip my cap to the program that Coach Jon VanderWal has built - remarkable! In the five years prior to his arrival, the team won 25% of their games. In the 11+ years since, the Pioneers have won over 80% of their games - with over 220 wins!

Queens blew out NCAA Div. I Howard, 85-71. The Royals were up by over 20 points in the second half & the game was never within single digits in the 2nd half. Kenny Dye was fantastic, going for 16 pts, 7 asts & 3 stls while controlling the tempo of the game. @queensMBB @NCAADII

I just witnessed one of the finest individual performances in an NCAA Tournament game at any level. Wheaton's Aston Francis finished w/ 62 pts & 12 rebs, including back-to-back 3's in the last 35 secs to give Wheaton the win over Marietta to reach the NCAA Div III Final Four.

When Ryan Hawkins checked out of the game with 7:59 remaining, it was Ryan Hawkins 27, Washburn 26. The score was 77-26 at that point. Think about that...... against this very good Washburn team. Hawkins was THAT good, and the Bearcats were THAT dominant. @NCAADII @NWBearcatMBB

32 Teams. 31 Games. 1 week. 1 National Champion. College Basketball's Toughest Tournament. With the exception of time surrounding WWII (there was a travel ban), the format has stayed the same since 1938 (8 teams competed in the 1st championship in 1937). Wonderful history! @NAIA

The final was 77-46. A 31-point win in the NCAA DII Final Four for NW MO State over Flagler....a day after leading West Liberty by 30 and cruising to a 21-point win in the Elite Eight. In the 1st round of the NCAA Tourney, they won by 41 points. How good is this team?!!! @NCAADII

Indiana Wesleyan is 12-0, with an average margin of victory of 31.6 ppg. They are shooting 56% fg & holding opponents to 40% fg & every starter is shooting 50% or better fg. The Wildcats average over 20.7 assists per game & have a +6.3 rebounding margin. @IWUWildcats @IWUHoops

I'm not sure if Coach Ben Howlett (West Liberty) gets enough credit..... The consistency, year-after-year, at such a high level, is just remarkable. The Hilltoppers just advanced to the Elite Eight, have won 16 straight & are 31-3 overall. @WLU_Hoops @WLathletics @NCAADII

Since the beginning of the 2016-17 season, NW MO State is an astounding 84-5......Yes, while playing in a tough MIAA Conference, plus a tough region/NCAA Tournament, the Bearcats have won 84 games and lost only 5 games! Remarkable! @bearcatsports @NWBearcatMBB @TheMIAA @NCAADII

NW MO State's Ryan Hawkins just broke the SCB National HOF Classic single game record w/ 44 points! He broke the 38-point record set by STAC's Justin Reyes in 2017. Hawkins went 15-22 fg's, 8-11 on 3's & 6-6 ft's! Just a remarkable performance! @NWBearcatMBB @NCAADII

Just thinking: Heading into today's game, the NW MO State backcourt of Trevor Hudgins and Diego Bernard is 107-4 in their careers and have not lost an NCAA Tournament game (11-0) and have won two NCAA Division II National Championships. Remarkable. Just remarkable! @NWBearcatMBB

With NW MO State, I think that their defense gets lost in the discussion at times. They are now 37-0 and playing for the National Championship on Saturday. They are winning by an ave. of 21.1 ppg, & only giving up 61.8 ppg. The Bearcats are consistently solid on D. @NWBearcatMBB
