Around 5 years ago today I convinced a little 8 year old girl to wrestle while she watched her brothers practice. Today she all Americaned at Fargo as an 8th grader. How freaking cool. Congrats Aubre 🥰

Dang I wish the women’s freestyle got more coverage over this past week in Italy. Team USA absolutely killed it. We took 3rd as a team with only 6 wrestlers and basically everyone had a win over a world medalist 😳😳

My dad is an absolute trooper. He flew in to Oregon from nj on Thursday. He drove me 5.5 hours away to compete, coached me all the next day and drove me 5.5 hours back. Now he’s taking a red eye to be back at work in the am. Unreal.

4 years ago I probably wasn’t even top 10 in the country. Today, I’m ranked 9th in the world. Although I didn’t earn the world team spot, I know our country will be well represented there. Proud of the season I had and can’t wait to compete again soon 💪🏼👊🏼

NJ wrestling moved the girls state tournament from the same location as the boys (Atlantic City) to a high school gym. If that doesn’t show you how unfair things are for women in the sport I don’t know what does.

So why do clubs only ask male wrestlers to come and run a practice?? One of the best ways to help women’s wrestling grow is by representation. Ask a female wrestler to come run a practice and make everyone respect her.

I’m gonna guess around 97 % of wrestlers have had/ have a bad relationship with food. Don’t think any other sport has that much of an issue. It is 100% a problem we can mitigate by not encouraging extreme weight cuts. 🤙🏻
