Just finished my shift in ICU:
Hands are sore from multiple washes (the process of doffing PPE involves 5-6 hand washes each time) - my face is sore & lined from the mask but am working with a fab well organised team& so I can still honestly say
I ❤️my job
Wow I’m feeling emotional reading all the lovely comments ... your deep heart felt praise for all the NHS workers. My mission today is to retweet every one of them to spread the encouragement. X
Oh my life.
It’s now 36 hours since I posted that tweet & am still reading new messages of love & support for the NHS...it really lifts the spirits
Thank You

Thank you so much for EVERYTHING YOU ALL DO. you are all angels on earth. We are on day 14 of lockdown due to underlying conditions. We stay home for you. Thank you. Enjoy your wine. My daughter drew this for you all Xxxxx
@CharlotteLeslie
No doubt you’ve heard of “sundowners” when holidaymakers near the equator have a drink at 6pm whilst watching the sun set?
Based on this, MrC & I have developed a tradition at 6pm on my days off.
We’ve called it “lockdowners”
@shinybluedress
Not sure this will be of use but found a kryptonite for dry, cracked hands (us in hospitality, especially food service suffer from dryness from too frequent washing all the time!) in this!! (Never had kids so was sceptical. It works!!)
Hope you can get some or I’ll post you mine.
@shinybluedress
We as a nation cannot ever thank you..the NHS and all key workers enough. You are the glue that holds this country together. Please know that this country appreciates every single one of you.
