Zoe Williams is being disingenuous. Most people aren't "anti-trans." But most people don't want the abolition of women's private/intimate spaces, are concerned about fair competition in sport, and think it's fine if a lesbian does not want to date a male who ids as a lesbian.

'Anti-trans' means nothing to most people, but the beliefs that women deserve spaces and sports of their own, and that daughters shouldn't, if possible, be put in vulnerable situations with male strangers, are completely mainstream.
