Disney announced today that ESPN+ has 22.3 million customers now. That's up from 13.8 million at this time in 2021. Those numbers are one reason the NHL was so happy about getting the out-of-market package into ESPN+ as part of the TV deal.

The games will be sold out. The TV deal is locked in for 5 more years at a set price. It actually has little impact on the salary cap. If anything more people who didn’t have Florida/Carolina jerseys before will buy merch and it actually helps.
