Rear cockpit of a MiG-21 Type-69 trainer. Retractable periscope seen here has speed limitations and is auto-retracted with LG, covering 2/3 of canopy. Instructional combat sorties quite a challenge with limited vis. Type-66 has no periscope. That poses its own challenge.
