What a message by Patrick Queen.
“Everybody want to be out here cute playing basketball on grass and everything… you can do all that stuff you’re just gonna get hit in the mouth every play”
The Ravens defense took tonight personally.
Perspective: Os had a situation with a talented rookie back in 1982.
After Opening Day, this rookie was 4 for 55 & was hitting .117 in May.
Os kept him up. He went on to win ROY, 2 MVPs, & have a handsome son in 1993.
For all the reasons above, it worked out.
Going into today, Felix Bautista was 30th in the American League in Strikeouts.
….he’s the ONLY relief pitcher in the top 30.
Oh and he’s got a sub 1 ERA and 28 saves.
I know it’s been a LONG TIME. This is not being a homer. Bautista Cy Young drum should start to beat…
Words can’t fully describe his impact.
Mr. Oriole embodied so much for the City of Baltimore.
Nicest man you could ever meet.
No one could play the hot corner like
#5
. One of the best to ever play the sport.
But above all that, he was even a better man.
Thank you Brooks.
A Statement from the Robinson Family and the Orioles:
“We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Brooks Robinson. An integral part of our Orioles Family since 1955, he will continue to leave a lasting impact on our club, our community, and the sport of…

#RisingTide
Jacoby Jones will be the Legend of the Game, Cal Ripken Jr. will be the honorary captain, and Jimmy Eat World will perform at halftime of Saturday’s divisional round matchup between the Ravens and Texans.
What a lineup
#RavensFlock
Gunnar Henderson is a man on fire 🔥🔥🔥
462-foot Eutaw Street 💣 is his third HR in the last four games.
This is the Gunnar Henderson we expected to see in 2023
#Birdland
The Os didn’t go out and get an ace in the offseason. They didn’t go out and get one at the deadline.
2 Reasons:
1. You got to let your guys develop
2. The Os had two aces all along 😎
#Birdland
Lot to talk about tonight, which I understand.
But whatever you are feeling, don’t let it take away from how much work this org (players, staff, etc.) has put in.
That group is grinding for the city. They know what this season and team means to the fans.
People care about the team. There are going to be frustrating moments. That’s sports. Part of being a fan.
I get it.
There is ZERO excuse to hope something bad happens to a player for messing up on the field. Period.
This isn’t life or death.
Most would mention the tie of Ryan Minor to my dad.
However I had my own connection with Ryan. I had opportunity to play for him in Frederick. He was a guy I loved being around. During a tough time that year, whether he knew it or not, he helped restore confidence in myself as…
After a courageous and hard fought battle I’m sad to say that Ryan lost his fight with cancer this afternoon. He truly was the best twin brother you can ask for. His family and I want to thank everyone for the prayers and support during this time. BOOMER SOONER..
Seeing a lot of debate between going down at the 1 to kneel it out or scoring like Zay did.
What are your thoughts? Team go down or team score the touchdown?
Some people get mad when people say “enjoy the ride”. I’m not saying you have to be happy when team doesn’t play well or you don’t get frustrated.
BUT I hope people realize a season like this is so rare. So special. This isn’t normal.
For those out there where this could help. Let me introduce the 30 minute rule.
You can be mad, ticked off. But after 30 mins. You move on.
Throw it away. Done. On to next one.
Boys are fine

.
Context to season. Reminder to enjoy the ride.
(In last full seasons)
Orioles:
2019 54 wins
2021 52 wins
2022 83 wins
2023 84 wins….with a month to go
Appreciate the ride as the turnaround has been quicker & more impressive than people could have hoped

Wait... is it true the Ravens wanted to sign and keep Lamar Jackson the whole time? You mean the same headline from before the season, was the same goal now?
I AM SHOCKED.
Was not supposed to be a grad party. But really appreciated surprise.
2014, I stopped college to pursue baseball career & dream.
Since retiring last July, made it my goal to finish what I started in college.
Last month, I graduated. No diploma yet, so cookie cake will do 😉
For own sanity if you are a Ravens fan, let the Lamar situation play out & don’t fall into the daily trap.
Something will be written every single day until it is resolved.
I’m still the optimist. I believe it’s all going to work out. Don’t over-stress…unless you want to.
I know my opinion doesn’t matter. Again new to how baseball works.
Fujinami is an X factor.
And why wouldn’t you want to give a guy every opportunity to continue to figure it out (Which he is starting to do).
He literally can change the whole dynamic of your bullpen.
Bautista is human. He was Superman for 3 straight months.
The What Ifs: Sure I get it.
But star vs star, Tucker won that battle.
Not an ounce of concern about Felix.
And people will still find ways to critique Lamar Jackson all they want. Go right ahead.
Ravens fans are just ecstatic and thankful that he is the QB of the Baltimore Ravens.
@ryanripken
Since the whole ALDS/Billy Joel concert timing thing has been a topic of conversation lately, has anyone ever brought it to you or your dad’s attention that the Iron Man and the Piano Man kind of look alike?
David Rubenstein is set to become the control of the Orioles after he agreed to a deal to buy a stake of the Orioles, a source close to the matter confirms to the Baltimore Banner.
The ownership group includes Mike Arougheti, Maryland leaders, philanthropists and sports legends
Ravens long snapper Nick Moore talked to us about what it’s like playing with Roquan Smith.
The passion that Roquan plays with is simply infectious and you can hear it in Nick’s voice.
The Orioles ability to have guys like Hicks and Westburg hit in the 8 and 9 holes do wonders for turning your lineup over.
…especially to guys like Adley and Gunnar at the top.
Very deep lineup.
@BNightengale
I wouldn’t say Os were all out. The front office decided to stick to their plan and looked to do what was best for the long term.
The trades didn’t change the team’s mentality.
Os are playing with a ton of confidence, and BELIEVE they are in every game no matter the situation.
Yesterday
@DM_Rubenstein
discussed with me how he plans to let Brandon Hyde and Mike Elias do their jobs.
“I’m not going to pick the baseball players. I’m not going to tell them who to trade or who not to trade that’s not my area of expertise”
Gunnar Henderson can not be stopped.
The AL Player of the week with his first career grand slam, and he sends it to the O’s bullpen.
Henderson has caught fire in the month of June and is showing zero signs of slowing down 🔥
8-1 Orioles lead
#Birdland
….and if you ever doubted Gunnar I don’t know what to tell you.
He isn’t even at his peak.
Quite frankly, no one knows what that even looks like yet, but promise the best is yet to come
Mike Elias shares one of his favorite moments since coming to Baltimore. It happened in 2023.
Another reason how awesome his presence was for the 2023 Orioles. The legend of Adam Frazier continues to grow
#Birdland
Also give love to Cowser. Should’ve been no hate for him for struggling as a young big leaguer to begin with (drives me nuts)
Get him over…GET HIM IN. Dude did his job in big moment.
Will talk about this in depth tomorrow because I think it’s incredible message.
I don’t care about the comment Lamar is responding to.
It’s the answer for me he gives that everyone should listen to.
