@ryanaraine My opinion remains that Ransomware as we’re seeing in the news is NOT a security issue. It’s a general IT issue. Proper BCP could have prevented this. How Ransomware/trojans/attackers, etc got there in the first place is a security issue, but if security loses IT can still win.

@ryanaraine This is the difference between 'Business planning' and 'IT planning' Also shout out to the backup vendor or the IT team that has a KPI which shows when was the last time you did a recovery test and how long it would take to recover your data from different time periods.

@ryanaraine Well, if they have 50 petabytes 30 miles away and their bandwidth would take 69 years to transfer over the Internet, it’s sort of obvious that’s not how the data got there in the first place.
