I haven't had that much time to work on any levels. Still grinding out character controller stuff. So instead I think I'm just going release a basic test environment like you can see in this clip. Mostly just need to add some tutorial prompts and we should be good to go.

And it's not even max's character controller that was the stupidest part, for some reason I thought that making the enemies have physics reactions to each bullet was totally necessary and COOL despite being AWFUL a consistent arcade style action game.

12,000+ indie games were released on Steam in 2022. If you prove that your game is hot, the algo starts putting you in prime spots like the Discovery Queue and More Like This. So how many games get this treatment every year? 550ish and it isnt growing. Let me explain 🧡

I've been playing Klonoa for the first time and it's weird to me that this whole 2.5D style isn't more popular among indie devs. The game almost feels "next-gen" in that you can tell how excited the devs were about using 3D to innovate whereas now it's like we don't even try.

@LemaitrePraline I really enjoyed this game. The layout of the town feels so natural and intriguing, almost overwhelming, but it's still manageable for the player. My only feedback is that I wish you could carry multiple items.
