Dostoevsky’s books are not to be read only once, but to be reread over and over again. because his books will burn you up and cool you down again, cure you and then you’ll go back to them-

@hobileafers @Arareen1 I agree, but history, unfortunately, has been manipulated. The myth of the deserted, no man land, has been instilled in many people’s mind, and is still being perpetuated, that many are oblivious of the existence of Palestine. We’re not trying to convince, we’re laying the facts.

Stop idealizing every celebrity who shows support to Palestine, it’s the simplest thing they could do: To stand against genocide. Least of all the Hadid’s who are actually Palestinians but took a neutral stance to please both sides and save their public images.

When Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish’s poem ‘Those Who Pass Between Fleeting Words’ that revolves around the Intifada, and calls for liberation, was translated to Hebrew, many Israeli scholars accused Darwish’s of calling for their complete expulsion and death.

I feel like this’s exactly how it is with Raskolnikov. he developed a belief in self-will, in his ability to serve the greater good in his own world, but he didn’t proclaim self-will and moral independence, because of the way he approached the matter; by murder.
