I REALLY REALLY want the younger generation to understand that Michael Jordan literally could do anything he wanted to do on a basketball court anytime he wanted to. Stop thinking what you’re seeing hasn’t been done before. It has.
AAU gets a bad wrap but let’s be honest...there’s thousands of shitty high school coaches who aren’t doing a thing to help kids be seen so AAU often times is their only way to get looked at
Here’s some perspective for you.
An 18 year old came in yr 1 and brought a program back to national relevance. Haven’t been to the Elite Eight in 30 years. The weight of the entire program is on her shoulders.
This is why I say JuJu Watkins is the best player in the country.
Y’all don’t understand how 🔥this is for basketball junkies like myself!!
This is how you develop a true understanding of the game and how it should be played!!
Kids from the 252:
3 young men that came from the same place you’re from just signed contracts in the last 5 days worth 340 million dollars.
Don’t let anyone tell you it’s impossible. Keep going 💪🏾
I get so tired of watching kids with terrible attitudes hoop & folks call it being a “dog”
Nah. Their attitude stinks and they need to fix it before the game humbles them.
Young point guards the name of the game is PAINT TOUCHES! College coaches are looking for guys that can get two feet in the paint and make the correct read consistently.
Trust me on this one.
Today is our 6th wedding anniversary & my wife & I both agree that being able to bring our baby boy home today is the greatest gift we could ever receive.
Welcome to the world Tyler Kason Bridgers 💙💙
Excited to announce that I am the Carolina Director for
@OntheRadarHoops
‼️
Shoutout to my guy Shun Williams for the opportunity. Looking forward to bringing high level grassroots events to the Carolinas!
Y’all make this AAU stuff way more complicated than it has to be. Kids switching teams for really no reason. Kids (who shouldn’t be playing at all) playing for multiple teams in the same weekend. Teams adjusting their rosters weekly.
What are we doing ?
Lost my grandmother yesterday. Been trying to keep busy to keep my mind off of it but it’s hard.
She lived an amazing 97 years on this earth.
Sleep peacefully Mattie B 🕊❤️
.
@masonjones2
story is dope. Not recruited at all basically out of high school. Went JUCO for a year and changed his body. Arkansas was his only HM offer. Fast forward 2 years and he’s a front runner for SEC POY and a All American. The moral of this is NEVER STOP WORKING !!
I don’t think people understand how wild that North Carolina has that many NBA players. We not even half the size of Texas, Florida or California. We really about hoop here in the HOOPSTATE !!!
I LOVE seeing these HS programs promote where their kids are playing during the live period.
When the HS & AAU programs work together it helps the kids !
NC currently has:
26 active NBA players
5 McDonald’s All Americans this year
7 girls and boys HS teams ranked in the country.
The
#1
girls player in America.
I could go on and on but clearly NC is the REAL HOOPSTATE‼️
What y’all think? 🤔
There’s been a lot of back and forth on IG about which state has the best talent, GA or NC. A lot of arguments between me and
@rod_bridgers
too.
From high school to the pros, Georgia is pumping out studs. It’s not close.
Parents when your kid is on the court leave them alone and let them hoop !! You trying to coach from the stands. The kid listening to you and the coach saying two different things. It’s a bad bad look smh
One sentiment that I’ve seen a lot of people share is Roy saved UNC Basketball. He came in at a time where the program needed stability more than ever & brought it back to an elite status.
That and that reason alone is why Roy Williams is a 🐐 in my eyes
Thank you Roy ❤️
Theo was the
#1
player in the country in HS at one point. I’m sure he had people telling him all types of things. For him to accept the roles he’s accepted in his career speaks to the person he is
So when I say this I’m not bragging or boasting but I’ve had 2 NBA teams call me in the last month multiple times asking about players. I really feel like I’m on the verge of something great. I just gotta keep pushing.
Another year in the books. Words can’t describe how proud I am of this dude. You’re living proof of what success looks like. We’re from Wilson, NC. Not too many people have traveled the road you have. ❤️ G
@_jay5harris
Just sitting here reflecting about my journey. I went from being “J5’s big bro who’s wild on Twitter” to working for one the biggest basketball media companies in the world to venturing out with my brothers to create our own lane, our own voice. It has been one amazing ride and I…
If it’s one thing I know about 5 star commits of Robs caliber is that other 5/high 4 star players are going to want to play with him.
State could end up with a top 5 recruiting class in 2023
In all seriousness though financial literacy needs to be a core subject in schools. Kids need to learn what a FICO score is. How to balance a checkbook. Even teach them how to buy and sell stocks.
Whatever GG Jackson decides to do is what he and his family feels is best.
I just hate the fact a 17 year old kid is under this much pressure because we gotta be “right” or “the first to know”
Furthermore that man hit the shot to beat Duke in the FINAL FOUR! He should be good forever in Chapel Hill but that shows you how fair weathered fans are
If you’re on a AAU team getting 20-25 every game then you’re probably not on a good team. When coaches come to see you they wanna see if you can sacrifice scoring while still having an impact on the game.
I owe a lot of it to my wife. I was high key a bum when I met her in 2011. Just started a new job and I wasn’t making much. Behind on bills, car was getting repo’d. She saw something in me that I didn’t even see in myself.
I just want to say something and it’s okay.
If you don’t have a Division 1 offer by March of your senior year then 9.99/10 times you’re probably not a Division 1 Player & that’s okay.
D1 isn’t the only level of basketball.
Athletes don’t ever let anyone take the love of the game away from you. Remember why you started playing in the first place and recapture that joy if you lost it !!
At Bojangles just now:
Cashier: “the car in front of you paid for your food. The last 4 cars have done it.”
Me: “oh that’s dope. How much is the car behind me?”
Cashier: “$27.73”
Me: “can I have my food please?”
God knows my heart 😩
If school doesn’t reach out to you on June 15th of your rising junior year it’s not the end of the world.
I guarantee if you go and hoop your tails off in July coaches erasing names off their board and putting you on it.
I’m so proud of my dog. He stood on his own two and made a major decision. An opportunity to be the lead guard at a blue blood was just too good to pass up.
And they develop point guards.
#RockChalk
💙❤️💙❤️
Folks are really mad at Luke Maye ? This is what the draft process is made for. He’s a junior. He wants to play in the NBA. He’s allowed a chance to work out in front of NBA teams for them to tell him what he needs to work on.
Where’s the issue ??
Yo I HATE coaches that’s all about promoting themselves instead of their players. You wouldn’t be anything without players making you look good. No way I’d send my child to play for someone like that
I saw United’s other teams supporting their 27’s team the other day & CP3’s entire organization is there supporting their 15’s.
Gotta establish that type of culture within your organization. Young players feed off that energy that’s created.
