Abuse is about power and basically never mutual. So unless you believe Heard and her friends had a multi-year Gone Girl-esque plot to send fake texts and pics around then Depp did that shit
I guess I wasn't aware that the full phrase was "Believe Women, unless you enjoyed the Pirates of the Carribean franchise so much that you developed an insane parasocial relationship with an actor"
@jessecase
I think this is two people with some personality disorders being mega toxic to each other. Sounds like both knew they were in a toxic relationship.
As far a physical abuse, its hard to know the truth.
Its sad that they had to take it this far.

AH was NOT afraid of him. She and her friends used him to their heartsโ content. He wasnโt perfect, but there arenโt any verifiable evidence he ever hurt her! There is a slew of her own recordings showing her going off the rails though.

The UK courts literally said Depp abused Heard in at least 12 of 14 accusations when Depp sued a newspaper for libel in 2020 so cool it with the 'no evidence' lies

I agree. I think its possible that at different points in the relationship each party was the abuser. I see evidence of physical abuse from both parties.
Power comes in lots of flavors as well. I think they each, maybe at different times, had power dynamics over each other.

I guess im saying that who we believe does not have to have a binary answer. Its possible to believe in a more complicated more nuanced explanation of the actual events.

Abuse is about power, and according to all evidence weve had at this point, Amber Heard had that power. She even described how to make a bruise to the jury. The case is clear.

I think people need to stop assuming someone wouldnโt tell such a huge malicious lie simply because they themselves wouldnโt. AH and her friends have been caught in multiple lies. Why would two sets of officers lie on what they saw at the penthouse? The lies donโt add up!

Sometimes abuse is about gaining control, when the abuser wants to gain power.
It doesn't always come from the person with the most money or strength.
My family member has borderline personality disorder and her abuse looks so much like AH's.
