Battlefield releases patch which further breaks multiple parts of the game. Battlefield continues to do sponsored content with big streamers. Battlefield has yet to make an official statement or layout a roadmap for the future of 2042. Game came out over 2 months ago.

I've always been vocal and critical of Battlefield. Was ruthless about BF3 and BF4 until it was fixed. BFV was so bad I only played 10 hours at launch and walked away. I'm sick of it and it's not my fault some BF content creators turn their head and straight up lie for a buck.

If the next Battlefield isn't a well thought out and polished banger it is over for that franchise. Try not to get misled by over hyped influencers like Battlefield 5 where multiple claimed it was the best BF ever. It simply needs to deliver well beyond the honeymoon phase.

This could be the best Battlefield we've had in a long time. The skill gap is increasing, vehicle play looks more complex and DICE seems to be getting rid of shitty game mechanics. The world is a better place when a new Battlefield doesn't die within 3-6 months of release.

@JakeSucky The cost isn't the only major issue. It is the fact that the anti-cheat department has taken an entire season off and the game hasn't had any sort of effort put into much needed improvements such as VFX clutter, audio, a better ranked system, input balance on PC, etc.

BF 2042 is a monumental disaster between gunplay, hit registration, major netcode issues and other technical issues. From a gameplay and a design aspect it fails even harder. The game has zero soul and identity which offers little to no reason to play it over time.

Yesterday Battlefield 2042 had a massive patch with 400+ bug fixes, improvements including VOIP being added, and mouse sens issues being fixed. The concurrent player count peak went from 1800 players the day before to 3600 post patch. Surely this number goes up, right?

I really think DICE messed up not bringing back the original ticket bleed system. Gone are the crazy comebacks and back and forth games. I really miss when you could get 3/5 flags and make a huge swing or comeback if you could hold. Now 3/5 or 4/5 does nothing really :/

I am excited that a bunch of COD players and content creators are excited about the new Battlefield. I hope they stick around once they realize BF has a much bigger skill gap, there are gun mechanics, is a team based game and vehicles CAN dominate if not focused.
