What amazing news from South Africa! After a 2-2 draw with India, England win in a shoot-out. Claudia scored a late equaliser and her shoot-out attempt. Well done to England U21 & especially to our pupils Claudia, Bronte & Tilly who win Junior World Cup Bronze🥉! 🤩

Despite the long journey north, the Girls’ 1st XI produced a fine performance at Sedbergh to make it two wins from two in the National U18 T1 Championships. Thanks to Sedbergh and especially Sedgwick House for their hospitality 🏑 🏆
Delivered in the new Team Room, the 1st XI were clearly inspired by Captain Lily’s tactics today as they defeated Oundle 11-0 earlier. It was good to see so many different players on the scoresheet
What a first day..
Landing at 7.30am and straight to play Chile U21s with The Andes as an amazing backdrop. Both games ended 2-2 with the girls winning after a shootout and the boys game agreeing a draw at the end of a tiring 24hrs 🏑 🇨🇱
Just months after opening our new Sports Hall, rapid progress is being made with the new water-based pitch now that the shockpad has been replaced. Work continues on the Sports Complex in the background too, all to be ready for the new season

Our girls maintain their form throughout the day and defeat a strong RGS side in the final. They become Midland U18 Indoor Champions and reach the National Finals next term. Well done girls 🏆🏑
The Girls’ 1st XI enjoyed a trip to Oxford today. They played the University who are preparing for the Varsity Match & came out on top with goals from Bronte,Claudia & Imi. U15 player Tilly made her debut & players from 4 different year-groups contributed to a good performance 🏑

What fantastic news for our 1st XI Captain who has been selected to play for GB U21s in the prestigious Sultan of Johor Cup in Malaysia during half term. It’s hard to think of anyone more deserving.
A first class performance from a first class group of girls. Our 1st XI win 6-0 away at Sedbergh to reach the National U18 Quarter Finals. All girls teams now through to the last eight teams in the country 🏑
Our U14s saved their best performance of the day for the Midland U14 Final. They win 8-0 and book their place at Lee Valley for the National Finals next term 🥇 🏆 🏑
We are very proud to have two current pupils heading to the Junior World Cup in the coming weeks. Claudia (U6) heads to Potchefstoom 🇿🇦 with England U21 and Tyler (L6) to Bhubaneswar 🇮🇳 with USA U21. Good luck to both for what we hope will be an amazing experience for them
A fantastic day for Claudia Swain at the Royal Thames Yacht Club today. She was presented with the Hockey Writers’ Club Young Player of the Year Award by GB Coach, Mark Hager, alongside Senior Award winner Sophie Bray. Well done Claudia!
Such good news! One day on from helping the School win the National U18 Championship, Harry wins the Hockey Writers’ Club U16 Award and is presented with it at a lunch in London earlier today. This is so deserved, well done Harry!

Boys U18s as they come from behind to take the Schools' Championship semi-final against Whitgift to a shoot-out, and then triumph to go through to tomorrow's final.
Well done to our Girls U16. They win all six matches at Wolverhampton to become Midland Indoor Champions and qualify for the National Finals in January 🏆
A great evening at Argentina’s Olympic Park. What an honour for us to play the Buenos Aires U19 Regional Team on their home turf. Boys lost narrowly & the girls played out an entertaining draw. Pleasing performances against a top hockey nation’s most successful regional teams 🇦🇷
There was a great buzz down at the Sports Centre on Saturday. Adam Peaty officially opened our new facility and we welcomed Oakham for a block fixture, including a 1st VI Indoor match. How lucky we are to have such an incredible venue to play hockey

After a great day of hockey, Millfield were crowned National U13 IAPS Champions. Danes Hill came 2nd with Foremarke Hall 3rd. Congratulations to them and to all competitors in a high-quality tournament!
A top day of Indoor hockey sees our boys teams qualifying for the National Finals. The U18s go through as Runners-Up and our U16s as winners after a fantastic 8-2 victory in the Final. Joining the girls, 40 more pupils will now feature at National Finals in January 🏆 🏆 🏆
