Jay Wright is a good dude. He rarely called me as a parent of a player (didn't need him to) but he did call me as a friend to wish me well on occasion, like when I went into the hospital for a cardiac scare. Jay the man > Coach Wright & you all know how great he is.

There is so much hand wringing over accepting the NIT bid bc it's not the post-season event we all hoped for. Arrogance aside, there are some good teams in this tourney & there are some good games to watch. We have at least 1 more game to play this season. 250 schools are done.

On a personal note: a lot of ppl say I should be proud of E after a big game or win. I'm ALWAYS proud of him bc I know he approaches his craft with hard work & integrity. His shots don't always fall & his team doesn't always win, but his work ethic & commitment are unflinching.

My youngin was getting to it after a rough start. The refs allowed a physical game, so he had to play in a crowd. A lot of nights in an empty gym went into him being able to perform in those close quarters. #Proudpop #GoNova

My youngin did well in the loss. Quietly was the best "5" (11p, 9r vs 2p, 5r) on the floor and competed on both ends. He got low & guarded. He couldn't always get the stops but forced some tough shots. He'll grow from this and I'm still super proud.
