Believing is glorious because it's focus is on God! Believing is beautiful because it's motivation is love!
Believing is holy because through it, JESUS purifies us from sin!
At just 62 miles from the earth, outer space begins. At 300 miles the atmosphere is completely gone. So you can imagine how high 1500 miles would be, because New Jerusalem will be 1500 miles wide, long and high. On the high areas you could look across the horizon of the earth
When I read Revelation 22:1-2, I Imagine walking toward the throne of Jesus with all that scenery, and fellow-shipping with others as we walk toward the glory of God shinning from the throne. WE might have a picnic on the way or pick fruit off the trees to have with our meal!
As Christians, we are purged from sin, which includes the sin nature (Ephesians 2:3; Hebrews 1:3; Romans 6:1-13). Jesus died for our sins to redeem us from both the actions of sin and the nature of sin. The two are bound together.
As Christians, we have the Spirit of Christ in us. It's the life and power of Jesus and the faith that is by Him, of Him, and in Him that heals through our prayers (Acts 3:16).
As a Christian, don't view the new man as something within you. It is not just a part of you. It is you! Realize and confess that the nature of the Lord is in your soul. That's where the seat of your emotions reside; and is tied to the body. We are a new creation with the life
There will be fellowship with one another, Jesus, and the Father as He unfolds His wonders to us as we travel throughout the new earth and heavens in their pure eternal state! We will meet friends and relatives. Perhaps we will sit down with Moses, Noah or Adam and Eve and visit
Unanswered prayer should compel us to increase our faith and obedience and our understanding of God's will. Faith and obedience are the most important because there are a lot of scriptures about these as conditions for answered prayer, especially for healing. Proverbs 4:20-22.
True religion is by revelation. God revealing Himself. Adam didn't seek God after sin. The Almighty came to Adam, Genesis 3:9. God spoke to Noah concerning the ark, Genesis 6:13. The Lord revealed Himself to Moses through the burning bush, Exodus 3:2-4. And the angel Gabriel
When born again, legally there is nothing of the old man left, he was crucified, Romans 6:1-13. But it's our responsibility take up our cross, deny our self and follow Jesus, Luke 9:23, to make this completely true experientially! 2 Corinthians 4:10-11; Philippians 3:10-14.
The Holy Spirit moving upon the writers of Scripture in dynamic ways in harmony with their personality to fulfill God's perfect will. Now isn't that how we would want to live? Our Christian life should be clear evidence of the very nature of inspiration.
Across every country and around the world, no matter what culture, religion, or traditional ethic, God speaks to the human heart about His nature, power, and glory! The glory of the rising sun reflects the glory of the rising Son who lights every man who comes into the world.
God's sovereignty is His will. His will for us is in His Word. His declaration that healing is in the atonement, Isaiah 53:4-5, together with His instruction to pray, and His promises to heal us if we meet the conditions, are His sovereignty in action. The Word is a revelation
Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit, so it grows, it's increasing both in quality and quantity, Galatians 5:22. "Your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all toward each other abounds" (Thessalonians 1:3). Faith grows with love. Faith grows as love grows.
The book of Ephesians dismantles the concept that it's only your spirit that is born again. Ephesians 2:1-3 clearly teaches that the desires of the flesh and the mind are born again. "And you hath He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins; In which in times past ye
Love works both ways: When we love God, then we know that we love others (1 John 5:2). Also, when we love others, then we know we love God (1 John 4:12-13).
The expression of God's name in the Hebrew, "To Be" exemplifies His very nature and being as the self-existent One as the source of life and movement. Our relationship with Him is like that. Psalms 36:9, "For with thee is the fountain of life; in thy light shall we see light."
In the Bible, 1 John 4:7-5:5 is teaching on three loves: God's love for us, our love for God, and our love for one another. When we are perfected in this love, it will cast out fear. Love will cast out bad fears. But we are still to have the fear of God in us.
The New Testament never speaks of the new man sinning, but exhorts us to put on the new man. The new man expression is found in only two places: Ephesians 4:24 "And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." Also, Colossians 3:10
When the Bible teaches faith, it first and foremost instructs us about the purity of faith. Secondly, scripture explains to us about the amount of faith. The danger is when Christians, and especially ministers, grow in the amount of faith, but not the purity of faith.
Obedience and faith are very important, but grace is the doorway to God. And it's God's love, mercy, and compassion which opens that door of grace through Jesus Christ. If obedience and faith are not seasoned with grace and love, then you will be frustrated and unfilled.
The human being functions in four realms: the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical. Jesus redeems all four! At death, the mind travels with the spirit and soul as a spiritual mind. In fact in some sense, the body travels. Otherwise, how is anyone going to recognize you?
Genesis 2:7, "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." And so it is with us. The breath of the Spirit of God created a soulish personality, a human being!
The Christian is trusting in the mercy of God through Jesus Christ. Their salvation is based upon trust or faith in the merits of God's Son. "Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 3:24).
The reason the faith of Jesus has power is because the God of all power is a faith God. He speaks with His faith and power. We speak with His faith and power. There is power in His words. There is power in our words when they are His words. John 15:7 says "If ye abide in me, and
There was only one thing that caused Jesus to marvel, and it was the issue of FAITH. He marveled when He saw great faith (Matthew 8:10). And He marveled when He saw no faith (Mark 6:6). How do you want Jesus to see your faith?
The inspiration of Scripture: If you have the right understanding of the relationship between God's sovereignty and human freedom; When you are in the will of God, your choice and His choice are in agreement. It's that simple.
Hebrews 4:12—The Word of God penetrates even to the dividing of soul and spirit and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. This means that the soulish and spiritual parts of us are bonded together. The spirit expresses itself through the soul and body; the
Revelation 21:16 states that the city of New Jerusalem, that great and holy city, will be 12,000 furlongs (which is 1,500 miles) long and wide and high; a 1,500 mile cube extending 1,500 miles above the earth. We will probably get to travel throughout the city!!!
Our love for God is demonstrated by our obedience. "For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome" (1 John 5:3).
Why is everybody saying "The baptism in the Holy Spirit"?? That statement is not in the Bible. What we see in the Bible is: "He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit." Just stay with the Word! Don't invent something convenient. The biblical statement uses the verb "baptize" not
The inspiration of the Bible is really God-breathed. 2 Timothy 3:16, "...given by inspiration..." The Greek — theopneustos. God did not endow men and then sanctify what they wrote. Instead, God moved upon men in such away that they could infallibly write down what He breathed out
If sick, never claim to have Paul's thorn. The phrase "thorn in the flesh," or similar to it, occurs three other times in the Bible, and in every case, it's referring to people, not sickness. Numbers 33:55 talks of "thorns in your sides"; Joshua 23:13 has "thorns in your eyes"
We should be following the Word of God in the same way it was created. It was God-breathed through man. The Holy Spirit is breathing out His Words of life through us. This nature of Scripture must be God's best way to create it because it is the most compelling way to live it!!!
John the Baptist said, "He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and with fire." Why is everyone making 5 changes to his statement??? They say: "The baptism in the Holy Spirit." 1. They leave Jesus out. 2. The verb baptize is changed to the noun form. 3. They leave "you" out.
Romans 6:13, When the instruments of the body are used for righteousness, the emotions of the soul and body rejoice with the conscience. The soul and body are at peace with the conscience because it is planted within them; otherwise, how could they hear and rejoice? The source of
The Bible is God-breathed. The significance is that 2 Timothy 3:16 says nothing of God breathing something into the writers of Scripture but that God breathed out something: His Holy Word! That's a stronger teaching on inspiration!
The Bible teaches two things about soul. 1. We are a soul. All that an individual is, is a soul being. Genesis 2:7; Acts 27:37; Revelation 6:9-11. And 2. We have a soul as an entity within us. 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Psalms 42:6. Its the seat of our mental and emotional parts.
Even though the new man and the new creation are the same, these are two different expressions to give more complete meaning. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation" (2 Corinthians 5:17). "New man" sounds more human and personal, whereas "new creation" gives
As Christians; We worship God with our soul and our spirit. And they are distinctly different parts of us. Luke 1:46, "And Mary said, My soul does magnify the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior." Isaiah 26:9, "With my soul I have desired thee in the night; yea,
Looking for feedback. The meaning of religious includes: Serving, worshiping God. Loving Him, obeying Him, loving people, which is all good! Or religion can be expressing these things to a god, which is bad. So why are people contrasting religion and a relationship with Jesus??
As Christians, our pursuit on earth should be the same as His ultimate goal of redemption, the resurrection power of Christ infused into our entire being, spirit, soul, and body. Philippians 3:7-14.
The universe must be finite because it was created. Only God is infinite. He has allowed us to have limited knowledge of His universe and has hidden the rest. Both facts attest to His glory. Isaiah 40:14-18 reveals the Bible perspective of humanity and God's greatness. FEAR HIM
The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). It's redeemed by the blood of Christ (Hebrews 10:22; Colossians 1:20-22; Proverbs 4:22). Its pure and shouldn't be defiled with sin. Jesus said in 1 Corinthians 6:20 "to glorify God in your body and in your spirit."
There is no such thing as pure separation of Church and State; that's impossible. The State would be telling people to leave their conscience at the door. It's a suppression of the expression of who we are.
Down through history, God's relationship with mankind has been a pioneering of His creation. It's likely this will continue in the Millennium and eternal state. This is God's nature to continually unveil and reveal the wonders of His creation to the crown of His creation, mankind
@ChristianDexy
Chapter 39 of my book A declaration of Christian Truth deals with this question extensively. Everyone is born with Adam's inherit sinful nature. Particular tendencies can be generational curses because of sin. Its not genetic, its spiritual. But genes are influenced. Sin is deep
Adam and Eve did not sin with a sinful nature because they had none before the fall. They chose to sin with their human nature. Jesus Christ's atonement for sin purifies us from both the actions and nature of sin! The old sin nature is gone.
The new creation of 2 Corinthians 5:17 and the New Covenant are for the whole person. The old man was the whole man. The new man is the whole man. Jesus saves people. He cares about the entire person. (Romans 6:1-13; Ephesians 2:1-6).
The creation of Adam and Eve declares that we all came from one blood (Acts 17:26). We are all descendants of one marriage. The belief of evolution destroys that common bond of humanity. It does not explain the existence of the two genders, male and female.
The Holy Spirit comes to indwell the new believer's spirit, soul, and body, with the Spirit of Christ. He is not just only in your spirit, as many teach. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. View your entire self as born again, and enjoy the victory
"Delight yourselves in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalms 37:4). This promise, based upon the integrity of God's Word, goes far beyond your needs. He's talking about desires. Do you desire for that person to be healed when you pray? Then delight
Romans chapter 6 is connecting the crucified life with the new birth, which definitely involves the entire person. The body of flesh is mentioned extensively. Our identification with Jesus's crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection is in regard to our spirit, soul, and body.
Grace, faith, and obedience go together. For the Christian, these are supposed to be joined together. People separate these and create problems. They are not separate. They don't oppose each other. People confuse them. All three work together to energize and complement each other
Sometimes we know what we believe, but we're not capable of formulating it. So we are afraid of being unjustly outmatched with the words of others. Yet an honest debate, in the spirit of love and unity, will produce a healthy relationship, at least, in us.
Is our physical heart a figure of speech? No, its a physical reality. And so it is with our spiritual heart; it's an entity deep within. Our emotions have to be traced to an origin! "Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life." Proverbs 4:23.
Sad to say, there are far too many comments from pulpits today concerning God not healing. When prayer goes unanswered, the church majors in comments concerning God's will and higher purpose, whereas the Bible majors in faith and obedience. If the church continues to pamper
Creation testifies to the full nature of God; it's drilled into our conscience. Whether anyone wants to admit it or not is another matter. Romans 1:19-21
A person is but a speck on the earth. The earth with its solar system is but a speck in our galaxy which has over 100 billion stars. Our galaxy is but a speck in the universe which has over 100 billion galaxies. Is there an end to this universe? If there is, what is it?
From the microscopic world to the telescopic world and everything in between God has and is revealing His glory to mankind. He has permitted man to discover some of His glory but has chosen to hide the rest. Both actions glorify Him.
Proverbs 4:20-22 the promise of health to obedient believers! "My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh"
Jesus Christ as the God-man has sinless perfection. His redemptive work on the cross and resurrection from the dead are perfect for us! Its all imputed to us as born again Christians. It's imparted into our very being. This is not just an issue of faith but facts. The Lord's
The sins of the flesh are atoned for; therefore, the body is atoned for. God doesn't wash away the sins of the flesh without cleansing it. Hebrews 10:22 says "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and
In scripture, God addresses individual components of of our human make-up to emphasize the position and function of each. "Thou shalt love the Lord, thy God, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind" (Matthew 22:37). When speaking of these, God is showing
When a preacher, especially a well-known one, says, "I'm going to speak the truth, and I don't care what anyone thinks" that might be good; but then again, maybe not. It's good if he means he will not compromise the Word to please people. We are called to please God, be faithful,
When we are born again, we receive into our entire being the crucified and risen Savior. His blood speaks. His resurrection speaks. Our identification with Jesus's crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection speaks! Romans 6 and Ephesians 2:1-6 makes it clear that our soul and
The Christian new birth begins with the human spirit but instantly gives spiritual birth to the soul. Just as the spirit gives life to the soul in creation and pro-creation, so it does in the new creation. The Bible teaches that "you" are born again, not just your spirit as some
The entire human being; spirit, soul, body, mind, heart, and conscience, involves the heart. That's the way God wants you to think. This helps you put your heart into every thing you say and do!
As Christians, we are in this world but not of this world (John 17:14-19). Our citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20). This revelation gives us strength to be crucified to the flesh with its affections and lusts and puts us in a better position to discern God's will for life
We can quote any scripture for the purpose of teaching sound doctrine as well as expressing our experiences if it means the same thing that the Bible does and falls within the range of God's intended application. Jesus's statements about faith are easily understood by most

Sinners will be judged according to their rejection of Jesus Christ, which is measured by what they know and their ability to comprehend (Matthew 13:23; Luke 12:47-48). God says in Romans 1:19-20: Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God has shown it
The glory of God is to crucify all unbelief that God is the Creator of everything; not created over the process of time with evolution, but He spoke everything into existence like the Bible says (Hebrews 11:3; Genesis 1:3; Colossians 1:16-17).
In John 4:24, in regard to us worshiping God, Jesus speaks of the human spirit as representing the whole person because the spirit is throughout us. Its right inside our mind and soul and all parts of us. "They that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth" includes all
When people get healed through the prayers of Christians, it happens by the same methods and means that were demonstrated by Jesus in the gospels. Healing is by the life of God through the faith of God. We are followers of Him. Christians live by the faith of the Son of God—
"The prayer of faith shall heal the sick" (James 5:15). "As thou has believed, so be it done unto thee" (Matthew 8:13). "According to your faith be it unto you" (Matthew 9:29). "And all things, whatever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive" (Matthew 21:22).
The authority of the Holy Spirit can say anything He wants as He speaks in scripture and through us. It's not our job to parse things but to be teachable to receive the Spirit and intent behind the words.
It's not an issue of you obtaining more faith so you can be healed or forgive somebody or get the victory over lust or porn. But it's a matter of you purifying your faith, which was given to you by grace. You have allowed impurities in your faith. This is preventing blessings!
Faith is a real substance in the spiritual realm. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). Faith is the key. Faith is the victory! True faith is sacrificial. True faith is repentant!
Inspiration of the Bible is that divine influence of the Holy Spirit upon the writers of Scripture whereby their writings are made verbally infallible. Men are fallible. Revelation is the giving of truth to man. Inspiration is the accurate reception and recording of that truth.
God is one divine Spirit eternally manifested as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Not three Spirits. God is one God who always has and always will be Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our human logic may think so but Son-ship within the Godhead does not require a beginning, though
The emotions of God's Soul are stirred by the life of His Spirit. God's full personality and nature are seen by the actions and expressions of His Spirit, soul, and body. God's Spirit and Soul are in complete harmony and perfection; therefore His heart fills both. When a person
It should be understood that wherever God's Spirit goes, His soul goes also. God is one essence. The breath of life brought soul life to Adam as well as spiritual life! And when joined to the physical, a heart started beating, emotions came to life, a personality or person was
What is this entire universe for? Our Milky Way Galaxy and the expanse of the universe with all of its billions of galaxies and clusters of galaxies—does it have any significance in the eternal state? Does it have anything to do with us?
I heard on nation-wide Christian Radio that "Jesus is not looking for religion, but a relationship." This is common in modern Christian thought but it's not Bible. James 1:26-27 describes bad and good religion; yet leaders ascribe it to only bad, and it confuses people and
The biblical view of the inspiration of scripture is confirmed by the biblical truth of God's sovereignty! This sovereignty is emphatically seen and proven throughout God's Word and history, thus confirming the nature of scripture as the very words of God!!!
There is a glory of faith that awaits us everyday. Our faith in God works by our love for God. Our faith to move mountains by the power of God is a demonstration of our love for God.
The book of 1 John is teaching practical manifest righteousness which involves the will and choice. Right actions have application to our legal standing in Christ but mostly is referring to the believers actions in everyday life. It's really pretty simple. What do new Christians
Speaking in tongues: God speaks His perfect words through Christians when they speak in tongues. The individual is making the effort to speak, but it is the Holy Spirit who is the one that decides the actual words! Every tongue-talking Christian most likely believes in the
At the new birth, God purchased the body, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Search the New Testament and see what scripture has to say about the redemption of our bodies. They are washed. They are cleansed by Jesus's blood. Everything has to be in the atonement! And if it's in the atonement
Of the 12 spies, only Caleb and Joshua had a great enough love for God to have the spiritual fortitude to go in and take the promised land. God is saying to us today, "I have given you the victory. Go in and take it!"
Scripture never uses spirit and soul interchangeability! They are always contrasted. When only one of these words is used, the assumed meaning can be inclusive of the other one, but primarily, it singles out the one mentioned. This doesn't rule out the unique existence of the
God is not a Spirit, He is Spirit. Only God is Spirit, pure Spirit as the source of life. He is Spirit because He is God. Psalms 104:4, "He makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flaming fire." See the contrast? An angel is a spirit, a demon is a spirit. But we are not a
@stephgotsaved
You are correct but you should not be using the term “religious” because James 1:26-27 teaches that being a Christian is religious. But it is the only true religion. The Greek threskeia / threskos, occurs only 4 times in the Bible; James 1:26-27; Acts 26:5. Versions are wrong.
"That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death" (Philippians 3:10). By taking up my cross.
