Building a career as an influencer? I cannot recommend enough that you create a website & an opt-in email list. Take those photos+posts from IG & put them up as blog posts. Just a bit more work and you'll protect yourself from IG's inevitable downgrading of "organic reach"

Personal thread about "hard work" & "hustle." I've never worked *harder* (more hours, urgency, quantity of output) than I did from ~2012-17. Those last years at Moz, I was desperate to get the growth rate up. TL;DR: it did not go well. Contrast w/ the last 2yrs @sparktoro /1

Overall, I'm pretty impressed w/ Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Reddit's abilities to predict content that'll engage me & put it atop my feeds. But LinkedIn... Ooph. Am I alone here? Do the top few posts in your LI feed grab you? Or does their algo need work?

Most marketing is just throwing $$ at Facebook & Google. With high enough margins, it can work. But, it's far from efficient. The only thing you're really saving: effort. FB & GG make it easy to spend more. Sure, you see less ROI / $, but at least you're not working hard. /1

Remote work data: lower costs, lower turnover, faster hiring, happier employees (on average, of course everyone's individual experiences are different) -- I've been loving my first 6 months working remote for @sparktoro . Def want to keep this up.
