What do our photos have in common?
We are in exile. We are not allowed to live in Crimea. Why?
Because we are Crimean Tatars.
Because russians are trying to destroy our nation and steal our land.
The population in Crimea:
18th century:
95% of Crimean Tatars
0% of russians
21th century:
10% of Crimean Tatars
70>% of russians
Don’t let russia fool you.
I want Crimea🇺🇦 to be associated with Crimean Tatars, not with ruzzians.
I want to hear the Crimean Tatar language in Crimea, not ruzzian.
I want to see international planes and ships in Crimea, not ruzzian tanks.
I want a brilliant and happy future for my homeland 🇺🇦
Azbarında terek saçma, rus kelir menim toprağım der.
Did you know that many russians currently living in Crimea are living in stolen houses of the Crimean Tatars.
When my great-grandfather visited his home in Feodosia, another russian family was already living there💔
Crimean Tatars after returning to their homeland Crimea in the 1990s.
In 1944, russians commited the genocide of Crimean Tatars by deporting a whole nation to the Central Asia and Ural. For about 50 years they lived in places of deportation without the right to return to Crimea.
My family for many centuries lived in the steppe part of Crimea, near Kefe and Keriç.
But 18 May 1944 has changed their lives forever.
On this day my pregnant great-grandmother Zaide together with her 4 children was violently deported by russians from Keriç, Crimea to Ural.
In the places of deportation russians often said to my grandfather: “you are not a Crimean Tatar, such nation doesn’t exist , you are just a Tatar”.
Even though they tried to erase us as a nation, I'm glad my family didn’t forget our roots.
Embracing my identity proudly🩵💛
The flag of Crimean Tatars.
The blue color represents the sky, which is a symbol of freedom.
Taraq Tamğa - the family sign of the ruling Giray dynasty of the Crimean Khanate and the national coat of arms of the Crimean Tatar people.
Ukraine will change all toponyms in Crimea to their historical names in the Crimean Tatar language.
Each Crimean Tatar name of a city, village or river in Crimea was invented with love, it has its own unique meaning and can tell about the history of the origin of the place.
I’m turning 22 today. Time flies so fast. One day you are 10 enjoying your childhood in Crimea, and the next day you are 22 living in exile, but still grateful to God for every day of my life.
I hope one day I can celebrate my birthday in free Crimea🇺🇦
Some people tell me they are disappointed in me because I support Israel.
Are you serious?
Do you really think I would support massacres, rape and kidnappings of innocent people? 🤡
I don’t understand how anyone can justify what the palestinians did to the Jews.

Don’t let russia fool you.
So many generations of indigenous Crimeans suffered from russians. And the saddest thing is that nothing has changed in Crimea compared to what it was 100 years ago.
There is no other way but to destroy russia in order to return home.
#CrimeanTatars
Crimean Tatars have no other homeland than Crimea.🇺🇦
I have to explain such basic things because russians as always are trying to erase and change our history.
My life in Crimea before russians came💔 I haven’t been to these places since 2014.
Meanwhile i was in exile, meanwhile the russian authorities persecuted Crimean Tatars, millions of russians came to live or have a vacation in the occupied Crimea.
I will never forgive them.
Crimea, circa 1910.
In the middle is my great-great-grandfather's sister Menli Adjer Ğazı. She is wearing traditional Crimean Tatar costume.
It was the last generation of my family that could live in Crimea.
In 1944 they were deported by ruzzians to Uzbekistan.
russians like to say that no one has ever captured moscow.
but they never mention that the Crimean Tatar Khan Devlet I Girey burned moscow to the ground in 1571. And their tsar ivan the terrible just escaped from the capital, frightened by the Crimean army🤣
should we repeat?
This is our war. If we are not able to save Ukraine, the Crimean Tatar people will have no future. Either our people will be forced to leave their land, or they will be russified and lose their national identity.
-Mustafa Dzhemilev, leader of the Crimean Tatar people
I didn’t come to Crimea from Tatarstan.
My ancestors lived in Crimea for many CENTURIES.
We were FORMED as a nation in CRIMEA.
I have nothing to do with Tatarstan or Asia.
Stop believing and spreading russian lies about me and my people.
I want to thank all foreigners who support Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars.
Thank you for all the kind words you write to me every day, thank you for making me feel heard.❤️
Your support means a lot to me.
I can’t wait to share with you my first tweet from liberated Crimea🇺🇦
The Khan's Palace in Bakhchysarai, Crimea - the only sample of Crimean Tatar palace architecture in the world.
Its a must-visit after the liberation of Crimea 🇺🇦
10 years ago I left Crimea because of russian occupation. I never thought that i would spend so many years far away from my homeland. Every year we truly believed that the next year we would return, but nothing changes.
I can go to any country, but I don’t feel at home anywhere.…
Crimean Tatar cuisine is the best for me, it reminds me of my childhood in Crimea🇺🇦
Chebureki - the most popular Crimean dish! I hope we can eat it in the liberated Crimea the next year 😍🙏🏻
It seems Amnesty International and other “human rights organizations” are more worried about 1 russian than about 186 Crimean prisoners, among whom 144 are Crimean Tatars.
Over the past 10 years they have published only 3 posts on their twitter about Crimeans.
Navalny, a prisoner of conscience and a leading figure in Russia’s political opposition movement, had been sentenced to 19 years in prison on trumped-up “extremism”-related charges.
Crimean Tatars are still subjected to REPRESSION.
Crimean Tatar activists are still in RUZZIAN PRISONS.
Crimean Tatars are still LEAVING their HOMES.
Crimean Tatar language is on the verge of EXTINCTION.
Crimea is still OCCUPIED. After 10 years.
My anam (mom) just made this wonderful Crimean Tatar Fes (traditional Crimean headwear) for me 😭❤️ I don’t have any Fes from my ancestors because ruzzia stole all our cultural heritage. But at least now I have 3 new ones, 2 from my grandma and this one from my mom.🥹
When the occupation of Crimea took place in 2014, i had just turned 12.
But i still remember some stories from that period which i want to share with you. Part 1
Me and all my Crimean Tatar friends supported Ukraine. We were kids😭, but we wanted to express our position too.
2024 will mark 10 years since russians took my home, my Crimea. For 10 years i waited for de-occupation, saying every year “the next year in Bakhchysaray”
However, i believe in God’s plan. I lost a lot, but God has given me more and he will bring me home again.
Happy New Year!
All Crimean Tatars cherished their heirlooms passed down through generations, such as the intricate belts worn by brides on their wedding day and their beautiful jewelry. However, when the Bolsheviks took over, my family, along with many others, lost these material links to their…
